Shantii P.O.VWe all marched to the entry way, where we handed our tickets to the ticket teller.
"Do you want the VIP pass it only costs $30 each, you can skip lines, free food, ride every ride and compete in all competitions," the teller advertised.
Jaylon looked at me for approval, I shrugged. He pulled out an $100 bill and passed it to the teller.
I felt bad for allowing him to spend that much on me, first the ticket now this. I knew he was only being chivalrous but I wanted him to know money meant nothing to me.
I also wanted him to make us official, I knew taking it slow would be the best thing to do but with him, I didn't want to. I wanted to risk it.
He slapped a neon green V.I.P. wrist band around my arm and guided me through the gate.
Although it was nice of him, I felt the need to repay him for the money he spent on me. I don't usually accept money from people without any intentions on paying them back.
"Oooh let's go on the Dare Devil!" Keshina smiled, pointing to a ride. I looked over to where she was pointing and my eyes widened.
The rollercoaster went all the way up in the air, paused and dropped you back down. I watched everyone on the rides face expression. They looked like they were on the verge of throwing up.
After the ride swung down, it twisted in about 12 loops, zig zagged you from top to bottom inhumanly fast and then swung you over the edge of the ride.
I screamed unintentionally, because it looked like they all were about to fall. Then the ride stopped, and let them off.
Everyone in the group turned to look at me and bust out laughing, even Jay. I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest. I really was scared, the ride looked mad crazy.
"If you think I'm going on that ride, you tripping," I said. The part where the ride swung you off the track had my heart racing, and I wasn't even on it. I could only imagine what would happen if I was.
"Oooh you puussyy," Makaysia said, laughing, "You pussy as fuck," she continued, trying to be funny to get Trey to laugh.
"Pussy? Please don't get slammed. I know you seen how the ride was twisting and turning, you should be scared too," I smacked my lips.
"Girl bye," she said, rolling her eyes. I ignored her, and walked towards the ride.
I'm not a punk, but I'd rather not die. The ride didn't look secure at all. The VIP pass allowed me to skip everyone, and I took advantage.
I skipped to the front and everyone in the back started complaining. I laughed, and shook my head.
One of the ladies were talking, "How come these niggas get to skip us?" Her and her little red neck kids were looking us up and down.
I showed them my wrist. "Did you not hear about the VIP pass?" I questioned. She ignored me. "Instead of being ignorant, you should've bought one for you and your kids. I don't appreciate you calling me out of my name," I said respectfully.
"Come on y'all, let's go," she held her hand out and her kids grabbed them before they walked out of the line for the ride and to the Ferris Wheel.
I don't understand how people can still be racist in 2015, like it's time to move on. When I looked up, it was our turn to ride. I slid into the seat.
The heavy belt latched across my body while I looked around nervously. Jaylon took the seat besides me. I looked over to him and gave him a weak smile. I looked up and bit my lip.
