for @charlieheartaaron, thanks for reading
"Alright what movie is this again?" Aaron asked his girlfriend.
With a bowl of popcorn in his hands, he sat right back down on the couch with his girlfriend under his arm. Charlie reached for the movie case, showing him the cover.
Aaron studied the case, Dear John. He kinda wanted to groan but he kept a happy face. Tonight was Charlie's pick.
"Oh nice let's watching, again." He murmured the last word. Charlie turned around giving him that look.
Ever since they were young, they had this Friday movie night tradition. Especially right now that Aaron was away most of the time.
Tonight was Charlie's pick and of course she went for Nicholas Sparks. Making her herself comfortable on the couch next to Aaron, she pressed play on the movie.
Poor Aaron didn't know whether to grab his phone, pretend to fall asleep, or just make his girl happy by watching the movie for the one hundredth time.
He went for the last choice - he could not sleep on the couch tonight.
Watching the movie made Aaron think. He and Charlie have been together for the longest ever since they were kids. She never gave up on them no matter the distance. She was fourteen when their relationship became official.
"Hey can I ask you something?" He asked her. She turned her attention from the dashing Channing Tatum.
Boy did she love that guy. Not as much as Aaron though, sometimes.
"Have you ever thought about us lasting like forever? Do you know that I'm the one?" He asked her.
That question made her give him her full attention. "Well yeah. I don't think there's ever been a time I don't see you with me. Why you don't?"
"Of course I do. From the moment I met you I knew you were the girl I was going to marry." He said, with a big smile growing onto his face.
She returned the smile, afterwards giving him a big kiss on his cheek. Aaron sat back just looking at the girl by his side.
He truly believed he had his life made. Charlie was his best friend, she's the one who left everything for him. She transferred to London University to be closer with him.
She's always told him she'd do anything for him. Aaron really didn't think about going anywhere else that wasn't by her side. She thought the same to him.
"Do you think we would have lasted even if I hadn't moved here with you?" She asked him, now more curious than ever.
"I believe we would have. I could never forget the girl who cheered me on at my games, and also spoiled me with gifts." He talked about our teenage days.
Charlie was a clingy girlfriend, not that much. When they began dating, Aaron was her world. Ever since that day she relied on him. He only made her happy and loved her like no else could.
Yes they had their rough times, but what couple doesn't, am I right?
She was the girl who you would see at almost all of Arsenal's football games with his jersey on, cheering him on. He remembered his mom telling him that bond would never be broken.
Both families would always convince them to get married now, rushing them to have kids already. As much as the couple would like too, they believed the time would come for that.
Both of them just wanted to live their lives right now, but one thing for sure was with each other.
She was his childhood lover that would last forever.
