(part one)
I've never been the type of person to grow fond, or in love with another person. I always learned to be an independent woman. Yet I guess everyone woman has that time in life when they fall in love. At that point all you dream of is that day you finally wear that gorgeous white gown, you'll use his last name, buying a home, starting a family. Those were the thoughts that rammed my head when I first meet my husband. Who would have thought I was that idiot girl that feel in love at first sight?
I was best friend's with his sister Rafaella. We were more like sisters ever since the day we meet at school. We both attend the London School of Arts. Our friendship immediately hit off that day during lunch period. I was ordering a salad at the cafeteria, and told me she was new and also lost. Her English at this point wasn't the best. Luckily if it wasn't for my stepfather whom taught Portuguese I don't know if I could have helped her.
After we met we instantly became best friends. We had our own daily routine. We both had class in the morning, afterwards we'd go eat lunch. Conversations between us were the complete best. Rafa and I laughed about every single thing. Lunch dates were followed by shopping trips, bowling night, anything that we could think of. It was that winter break that she invited to Barcelona to visit her brother Neymar.
I gladly accepted. I mean who wouldn't take the opportunity to go to Spain. Rafaella knew I was a fan of the Catalán team, she called this a win-win situation. Traveling to Barcelona was even better with my best friend by my side. We arrived in the beautiful city, ready to party. Her father was kind of to pick us up from the airport. Rafaella
was so happy to see her father after so much time in England. "Pai, this is my best friend from school y/n." I gladly shook his hand but looks like he was friendly enough and pulled me into his arms for a hug.
"Nice to meet you linda, I am Neymar, Rafaella's father. Welcome to Barcelona." He introduced himself. I was really excited when we hopped into the taxi and I began to see the marvelous, gorgeous city. It wasn't much of a long ride to get to Neymar's house, Rafa metioned we'd be staying there for the week. I was listening to Rafaella and her father's conversation. They spoke how her mother arrived last night with her nephew Davi. Turns out it would be a full house.
"Right y/n, it's Neymar's birthday tomorrow. I forgot to mention." Well I wish I would have known that earlier. Now I feel like a groupie here. Neymar Sr. assured me it was fine, the more the merrier. We got to his house - castle, as I described it. We left our baggage in the car, and we'd go get it later. The door opened and I immediately heard loud music. Samba. Thanks to Rafaella I probably learned about three whole albums. There was laughter and a great scent of food.
"I brought back company." Neymar Sr. yelled out. We walked more into the home finding lots of guys and girls sitting and standing around the kitchen. "Hey Rafa's finally back." I watched as everyone greeted and hugged my best friend. Indeed noticed the great Neymar. He was the one hugged his little sister the longest, with the exception of thier mother. "And she brought back company. Who is this lovely friend of yours." A guy asked me getting closer to me.
"Chill out Gil. She's my best friend from school, y/n." I awkwardly waved my hand to everyone while also catching the glance from thr millon-dollar football player. He seemed to observe my full physical appearance. Probably found me horribly ugly, but what can I do about it? "These people are Gil, Jotace, Julia, Pedro, Tata, and my brother Neymar." I shook everyone's hand and stood next to Neymar. Everyone seemed to forget about the new girl and went back to catching up with Rafaella. "So y/n, right?" I turned around to meet the best pair of hazel eyes.
"That's right." I smiled. What a great way to start conversations. I really suck at this. "How is it living with the most annoying thing on the planet?" He jokingly asked me a question. I laughed along with him ignoring everyone else. Was this really real life right now? Was I really talking to the Neymar Jr. from Barcelona? I guess I was indeed. "Rafa's not that bad, unless she finds out there's a sale out Victoria's Secret cause then you've lost her." We laughed. It was very though. Rafaella was obsessed with clothes, shoes, makeup, anything that'll improve your appearance and you can wear.
