Why are there homophobes (people who hate on gay/lesbian people) in the world?

I honestly don't get it.

They're normal people who just like their own gender, what's wrong with that? It's their life, they didn't ask to be like this...

And what's with the states in the US who make homosexuality illegal?

Doesn't that mean they're denying other people's happiness?

You may be wondering what brought this onslaught of questions on, so here's the story.

I was on a game in Roblox with this sour person/rager/thing who kept on raging in-chat. We argued on and off untill she said "People who whisper to me like me ew." (Who the hell would like her anyway? :P)

So to piss her off, I sent her a whisper and she called me a les (because her logic says so).

So here's what I can remember from our convo

Me: What's wrong with being les?

Person: Les people are people who give up on having a bf so they get a gf instead.

That statement above is COMPLETE and UTTER bullshit.

What makes you think lesbians gave up on having a boyfriend? They weren't wired to like men in the first place! What do you mean lesbians are lesbians because men don't like them?

I bet there are some lesbians who regret being who they are.

There are gay people who are probably the same!

And another thing which just pissed me off.

One of my friends is bisexual with a girlfriend (not revealing their names or usernames) and when she came out to her mom her mom was like:

"God created man and woman. There is no inbetween."

WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THAT?

People like that are always on my hate list. People who think that it's only man and woman. People who don't see that there ARE people in between. That there are homosexual people out there.

They're not something we science loving people of the 21st Century made up or a fairytale. They're real.

And as for people who hate the LGBT community because of religion (like SOME Catholic Christains but not all of them).

The Bible doesn't even say homosexuality is a sin from what I can remember... so why the hate?

Seriously world? Why're you so fucked up?
