Okay, so I found this randomly in my USB's writing folder... just gonna post it here randomly XD

To be honest, I’m not sure how I got here in the first place.
All I did was take a turn left off my usual forest trail and here I am now in the heart of Littlepaw Forest… or so it seems. I can feel, see and hear the forest. Every gust of cold autumn air, every tree that my warm brown eyes can take in, their leaves painted with shades of flaming red, warm orange and glowing yellow by Mother Nature… and the chirps, squeaks and rustling from the unseen animals.
It’s beautiful; it’s as if the forest is one big creature.
Oh, sorry. I zoned out again. Don’t worry; I do that all the time.
Pardon? You want to know my name?
It’s Maria. Maria Santino.
You want me to continue? Alright then.
Like I said, I’m not sure how I got here, but I feel like I’m supposed to be here. It’s as if I was supposed to meet someone.
Is it just me?
Shaking my head and sitting down near a tree, I watched a smoky grey squirrel dart up higher amongst a tree a few feet away from me, a nut in its tiny paws.
Mum’s going to go crazy again if I’m late for lunch. She says I spend too much time with my head in the clouds... whatever that means.
Getting up, I retrace my steps, soon reaching the familiar path I’ve walked for a long time. I soon could see the back garden of the houses in Carnation Way, turning right and away from them, eventually reaching Littlebloom Street.
This is where I live, and I’ve been living here ever since me and my family were kicked out of my uncle’s house with only our clothes and 400 pounds. A little smile graces my tanned face at the memory of me moving here 10 years ago.
I was drowning in my daydreams again; it’s almost inevitable for me
“Maria!”
A small girl, barely older than 4, peeked out of the small green minivan. Her eyes were apprehensive as she took in the new house; an old beauty whiled away with the years. The paint was chipped and flecked, and to be honest she didn’t know what colour it was before. Her father, a dark haired man with a cheerful smile emerged from it. He approached her and opened the door to the minivan, lifting her up and out of the van.
“I’m fwying!” she squealed as her father lifted her up, chuckling.
A car horn beeped to my left and I jumped.
“Ria!”
I turned around to see the same minivan, and the familiar smile of my dad greeted me out of the rolled down car window.
“Your Mum’s gone crazy again.” he said as I opened the door, and then closed it behind me with a bit of a slam. I checked the overhead clock and rolled my eyes.
“It’s only 3:30… she said I was supposed to be back at 3:25, right?”
“You know your mother, Ria… she likes people being on time.”
The conversation went on for 5 more minutes, and before long we were pulling up. Dad rang the doorbell and stood back as the family dog, Snowshoe, raced out of the house and greeted me with frantic licks and joyful barks.
“Maria!”
My Mum, a short and stocky woman with the same brown eyes as me and Dad (just more piercing) was standing in the hallway. She looked livid.
I pretty much daydreamed all through her usual rant about how I’ve “always got my head in the clouds.”
With much flicking of her hands, she dismissed me. I followed Snowshoe outside into the backyard and into a yellow painted cobhouse.
That’s when I noticed a notebook and pen in Snowshoe’s mouth. I smiled, gently taking the little notebook, then the pen. He lay down near my feet and gave a sigh as I sat cross legged on the slightly tattered mat.
The hours whiled away as I wrote. All that mattered right now was me, the notebook and the words.
Every word counts, that’s what any English teacher will tell you.
