So it was sams funeral today i was finishing getting ready in my room, when there was a knock at the door my Aunt Rosie came in

"Hey Mari you ok"    she come's over wrapping her arms around my shoulders, pulling away i ask how Paul and Annie are, we both sit on the side of my bed she starts stroking the side of my hair letting out a long sigh she says

"well Annie just cries she knows she won't see SAM again, he always teased her"    she half laughed and half sobbed out.

using a hankie she wiped her tears as i stared fixedly at the floor, nervously fiddling with my fingers 

"And Paul well, he has't said anything at all, you know how boys are, they hold everything in "she say's in exasperation.  That seemed to snap me out of the daze i was in 

"This might be hard for them"       i tell her watching for her reaction i mean she did loose a sister that night too.   

"It might bring back memories for Annie and Paul well mainly Paul as he was older Aunt Rosie  i say.   Her eyes widening in realisation

"oh of course I'm so stupid"     she yells hitting her forehead with her hand looking upset now her eyes tearing up, i so should of kept my mouth shut ..

" I'm a crap Auntie to you all you deserve someone better,"      she cries out,

its my turn to comfort her now , she's a free spirit is my Auntie she loves her gardening, I know my moms gift was really well sought after,  healing is very useful after all,   but her sister had her own gift and that was nurturing nature, she can make anything grow which has come in handy to the pack, considering we are totally surrounded by all of my Aunts plants and tree's well hidden from humans in miles and miles of wild life and deep forests.   She looses herself in her skill,

since me and Daniel and Annie came to stay she try's her best for us but its like she 's lost a part of herself she's been like that ever since her intended mate disapeard kade's uncle.

Taking her hands in mine i look her right in the eye

"Aunt Rosie your the best auntie there is, you have took us in and kept us all together without you i don't know were we would of ended up, you gave us space when we needed it, and we  always knew you are there for us, so we will always love you for that alone i tell her.

She smiles at me giving me another quick hug and adding you wouldn't of been separated if i didn't step in your uncle Jason would of stayed to look after yous,   this is better though it means that he is able to go after the rogues that destroyed your family's pack, he needs to finish this he feels like he let your father down.

"i know i whisper though i wish he stayed with us here i miss him"   i tell her

"she would be so proud of you Mari, your so like her really strong and your  growing into a beautiful young woman"    she smiled laughing at my reaction, red faced and rolling my eyes, come on lets get this over with.

We go to join the rest of the pack in the garden Aunt Rosie goes to stand with the woman i see Jess and Paul the twins and Daniel in the gazebo in the back of the garden all the younger kids are being looked after by one of the other pack members in the house,

its not meant to start for another fifteen minutes so we all sit around not talking much, really there's not much talking anywhere. the mood is somber to say the least. It turns out that it was one of the twins that got caught by that rogue and SAM had jumped in and saved him but got injured himself.
