Madness is oftentimes a cunning and most feline thing. When you think it fled, it may have but become transfigured into some still subtler form. I'm just fooling myself. For the monsters of our childhood do not fade away, neither are they ever wholly monstrous. The first time I could remember, I felt weak, woozy and stupid- like a human being. Like a very small and helpless human-being. There are no heroes...in life, the monsters win. And that is why I became a Beast. To win what I deserve.
