They said no one could survive the Hollow.
They were almost right.
I ran through a world collapsing, eight months pregnant and choking on smoke. I saw people twist, vanish, die. I begged the sky to take me and spare him.
No one heard.
But something answered anyway.
I lived.
I did terrible things to make sure he would too.
And now he walks, seventeen years later, in a world that still doesn't know he exists.
The Hollow left its mark. I feel it in his bones. In his silence. In the way he looks at the sky like it's a promise he hasn't reached yet.
But he's strong. Stronger than me.
And no matter what he becomes-
He will live.
He will see the sky.
