As the eldest son of the chieftain he was tasked with protecting the village when his father left to aid in the war. As an older brother, he has to take care of his younger siblings Sokka and Katara. After their mother was killed, too much changed. He didn't have time for fun and games with war on their borders. To keep his remaining family safe he had to close off his heart and train relentlessly for the battle he knew they'd face eventually. The Avatar wasn't coming back. Or at least, that's what Ayaan thought, until a bald kid with blue arrows showed up.

Aang's precious earthbender get's trapped with him in the iceberg. Immediately she becomes a heartthrob for her magnetic personality and independence. A time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Lightning Villages, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all five elements. Only he could stop the ruthless Firebenders. Fem!reader, 1st person POV The monks had told Aang and I of our destinies as coexisting Avatars earlier than usual since they feared there would be a great danger approaching us. I was a naïve kid. I hadn't yet wrapped my mind around the dangers and darkness looming around every corner of this world. I was also too ignorant to realize how stupid it was to think I could trust Aang. He left me to die, meaning he broke the promise we'd made the day we were told of our fates. I had thought we were to always tough everything out together, but the contrary became clear to me once I was covered in wounds and wearily staring into darkness. I woke up a hundred years later, a new threat at hand. The same nation that murdered everyone I knew and loved in order to get to Aang and I was now attempting world domination. I would have to reconcile with Aang to stop them. But did I want to even breathe the same air as him? I would've rather burned to death. I am Avatar Y/n and this is my testimony of the true events leading to the defeat of the tyrannical Firelord Ozai.
