"You say you're a good girl, I say you're a liar
How could such a good girl love an Impostor?"

_____
Purple had been a rogue Impostor for as long as he could remember; a very experienced Impostor at that. He's slaughtered more ships than he could count and given Mira HQ as well as other Impostors the slip more than either side would like to admit. He's also a shape-shifting Impostor, meaning that, really, no one knows what type of color he'll be. He could be orange, red, or even black at times- just to name a few examples. Yes, there have been incidents where he's gotten attached to some crewmates, but in the end he always forces himself to kill or eject them. That's what an Impostor does. They gain the crewmates' trust and betray them. An endless cycle... right?
This was Red's second year being an astronaut, and despite her last ship going down in flames due to the Impostors there, she's relentlessly optimistic that this one will be different, forming a friend group consisting of Blue, Yellow, Lime, Coral, White, and Purple that quickly decides to stick together. But when the death rates start to rise rapidly, she starts to be scared of the possibility that there could be an Impostor among this crew, too, finding comfort in Purple's calm and rational demeanor, absolutely oblivious to his true colors.
As Purple and Red's friendship blossoms into romance overtime, Purple tries to push her away as he's always done to others- but Red proves to be difficult to ignore. Purple finds his greatest challenge not being just getting the crewmates' trust- but gathering the courage so he could kill Red and those close to her. However, with her relentless optimism breaking down his walls, Purple realizes that this won't be so easy...
