I was asked yesterday by KMyung how one could delete their wattpad story or at least certain chapters of it so that’s what I’ll talk about today. I will tell you the ways you can do it through your PC or the wattpad app. I’d never actually deleted anything before so I had to upload a few new books on my other account – CatMint5Tester, just to try this out. It turned out to be pretty simple so I’m not going to give you a picture or video tutorial in this chapter but if you have any questions, if there’s anything you don’t understand, ask in the comments below and I’ll reply as soon as I can; I’ll even make a picture tutorial if necessary.
First, I’ll talk about how you can delete a CHAPTER through your PC.
1. Go to Works
2. Click on the story that you wish to remove a chapter from
3. Scroll to Table of Content
4. Opposite the chapter title, there are number of views, votes and comments, status of the chapter (Published or Draft) and then three dots; click on the dots
5. Click on Delete Part
6. When “Are you sure you want to delete this part?” appears, click on “Yes, Delete this Part”
Now for how to delete a whole STORY through your PC. There are two ways (as far as I know of) you can do that.
Way One:
1. Go to Works
2. Click on the book/story you wish to be deleted
3. Click on Edit Story (orange button with a pencil in front of the word “Edit”)
4. Scroll down
5. Click Delete this story
6. When “Are you sure you want to delete this story?” appears, click “Yes, Delete this Story”
Way Two:
1. Go to Works
2. Click on the book/story you wish to delete
3. Click on the three dots that are next to Edit Story and the icon with the three bars
4. Click Delete Story
5. When “Are you sure you want to delete this story?” appears, click “Yes, Delete this Story”
How to delete a CHAPTER through the wattpad APP:
1. Go to your Create page
2. Select the story that contains the part/chapter you wish to delete
3. Go to the story card (preview) of the part you wish to delete
4. Click on the editing icon (the +) in the top right (next to three squares on top of each other)
5. Click on Part options(opposite a gear icon) at the bottom of the chapter.In order to do that, you’ll have to bring down your keyboard first.
6. Select Delete Part
7. When “Are you sure you want to delete this part?” appears, click “Yes”
How to delete a STORY through the wattpad APP:
1. Go to your Create page
2. Select the story you wish to delete
3. Click on the three squares that are on top of each other (to the top right of your screen, next to a + icon)
4. Click on Story Settings
5. Scroll down
6. Click on Delete Story
