There was two young students attending the University of Oklahoma. For spring break, they arranged to visit some long-time friends in another city. One of the students was sleeping over at his friend's house but didn't have extra sleeping space for the other student. After some discussion, he decided to stay at a cheap motel instead.
That night, they went out for drinks at a local bar and ended the night in a popular nightclub. It was almost 3 AM and decided to call it a night. The first guy waved farewell and drove back to the house that he was staying.
As he was sleeping in bed, he had a terrible nightmare. In the dream, he could see his friend at the motel, crying out for help. He was being kidnapped by a bald slummy man. The student watched in horror as his friend's neck was clenched tightly around the man's bulky hands, slowly choking. He fought back, but the man quickly stabbed him to death.
The dream was so realistic that the student woke up with his heart beating out of his chest. There he laid splat out on his bed, attempting to catch his breath and calm down.
It was just an imagination.
Eventually, he fell asleep once again. However, this time he had the same reoccurring dream in which the man was dragging his friend's dead body out into a parking lot. As he helplessly watch, the man threw the corpse in the the back of a white truck and covered it with mud.
Abruptly, the student woke up with sweat dripping down his forehead. He couldn't believe what his mind was thinking-- probably absolute madness, but he had to check on him. He drove to the motel and upon arriving to his friend's room, the door was unlocked. The room was completely vacant.
He knew something was wrong and called the police. When they arrived, he pleaded them to investigate his friend's disappearance. The police knocked on the door of the motel's office, and the same slummy man he saw in his nightmares emerged.
Frantically, the student ran out into the park and saw the only vehicle parked there: a white truck covered in muck. He dug through the mud and discovered the bloody corpse of his friend. Soon as the police found out that the truck belonged to the motel owner, they immediately charged him with murder.
This part is inspired by a ghost story originally from Cicero, who was a Roman philosopher that lived in Italy around 50 BC.
