chapter 17

For the next few weeks, I keep having visions of the future. The other day, i had a vision of Jeff, a Med-jack, chocking on something. Few days later, he was eating an apple during break and chocked.

The dream, or vision, about Teresa and Newt I had a while ago didn't came up again. I soon forgotten about it. But the one about Chuck and escaping the Maze, seem to haunt me almost everyday. I have them all the time while im sleeping, and would wake up screaming.

Most of the time, Newt would realise and try to comfort me. Other times, Minho would. I grew really close to him ever since the first vision I had. I've told him more about my visions than I did to Newt ,since the only thing he does is freak out. But Minho just sits there and listen, only asking if its nessery. Other than Minho, Newt and Adam, no one else knows that Adam and I have these visions.

''NO! '' I screamed and sat up. I looked around and saw that a lot of the people around me were glaring at me.

''Annah thats the 5th time this week you woke us up. Whats wrong? ''Thomas asked rubbing his eyes.

''I-I had a nightmare. ''I stammred.

''There, there.'' Newt said as he hugged me and rocked me back and forth.

''Annah, its been weeks already, you've got to tell us at some point, shank. Were you friends, right? ''Chuck said. I looked at him and tears begain streaming down my face.

''Annah, Annah whats wrong? ''Newt asked me concerned as he looked at my face.

I pushed him away and ran into the forest. I heard them calling out to me but I ignored and continued running. When I was deep inside, I sat down and hugged my knees. I begain crying buckets ,thinking about Chuck. He's one of my closes friends and I didn't want that to happen. Suddenly ,the world slowly turned dark...

Supplies didn't come for the first time ever. The doors didn't close. Griever's begain coming inside the Glade, taking one Glader everynight...

''Annah! Annah! Can you hear me? Annah! ''

My vision returned and I see Newt starring into my eyes with a worried look. I looked around and see Adam, Minho, Thomas, Teresa, Chuck and even Alby looking at me.

''What happened? ''I said as I stood up. I felt a sharp pain on the left side of my head. I cringed.

''Woa, woa are you ok? ''Minho asked catching me before I fell.

''Yeah, just a headache.'' I said.

''Ok, let's get you too the Homestead. Get some medicine for you.'' Alby said. Newt and Minho helped me walk as my head was making everything shaky.

Clint gave me some medicine for relieving headaches and water than told me to go to sleep in one of the beds there.

''Hey Adam, can I talk to you.''I said to him when I was lying down.

''Sure sis.'' He said. He looked like he knew what I was about to say.

''We'll give you guys some privacy.'' Minho said as he got up and leave the room. The others followed. Newt looked at me concerned but I smiled to show him its ok. He nodded his head anf left, closing the door as he went out.

''Visions again? ''Adam asked.

''Yeah...''I answered slowly.

''I see.'' He said.

''How do you manage it? I mean I feel like im slowly going crazy.''I told him.

''Well, I not yet super close to those shanks like you have. There friends to me but more like family to you.'' Adam said smiling.

''Well your technically my brother.''I said nudging him shoulder.

''Just try to control your emotions. I know some of the visions are scary but you've got to like try and not react to much. I don't know how to explain it but just be like ok its just another vision.'' Adam said.

I nodded and sat there silently.

''What kind of visions you've been having? ''I asked him.

''Well, a lot really. Some terrifying, some are really nice ones.'' Adam said.

''That's good. All the ones I've had just scare the shuck out of me.''I said quietly.

''Its ok sis. This is our gift, and we should treasure it. Well, im gonna go back to sleep, try get some yourself, shank. Goodnight.'' Adam said as he went to the door.

''Goodnight.''I said to him as I stared at the ceiling.

''Oh yeah, do you want me to get Newt to accompony you?''Adam asked before leaving.

''Its ok. He needs some sleep anyway. I've been waking him up for the past week.Tell him I'll see him tomorrow. ''I said.

''Ok, don't wake up screaming again.'' Adam said laughing as he went out and close the door.

I rolled my eyes and lay my head down on the pillow. I heard murmuring outside but they slowly faded away as my eyelids got heavier and I soon fell asleep.
