The ambulance sped off down the road. It took me a few minutes to regain my composure from that sudden adrenaline rush we just endured. It was slightly refreshing to be finally out of that dreadful place, but as I look across the ambulance at Harley who was clinging onto Jack, it wasn't looking so bad.

"Oh Mistah J, did you see the way I shot that Guard! Oh how I wanted to bash his head in for so long! I mean you'd be pissed by how many times I've had to turn the sucka down! He finally got the hint!" She giggled obnoxiously.

Jack fumed silently, allowing her to continue her chatter while he seemed to be mapping out a plan.

I looked up to see Malcolm in the driver's seat and I couldn't help but feel a burst of happiness at seeing him. Steadily, I stood up and walked to the front of the ambulance, poking my head in to see him.

"You sly dog," I remark, smirking at him. "You planned this all along."

He looks at me briefly before turning back to the road. I was suddenly aware that Jack had his eyes trained on me. "Actually, It was all my plan. Mickey just follows orders," he hisses and I frown at his tone.

It seemed Jack wasn't fond of Malcolm and I's relationship.

I turn back to Malcolm who ignores me and I sigh. "Regardless who's plan it is, at least he took care of me when someone couldn't," I mutter under my breath.

Jack stands up and I turn sharply to him to stand my ground.

"If YOU had obeyed me when I told you to stay in that house, none of this would have had to happen," He grits out through his teeth, his tongue sticking out to lick his scars. His eyes had grown dark, like the first time I saw him.

"Maybe if you didn't run off trying to play villain, I wouldn't have had to come find you!" I shout back at him, my voice beginning to rise.

He throws his hands up in exaggeration. "When will you accept that this is who I am?!" He retorts, pushing a finger into his chest.

I cross my arms, not caring that we had an audience listening to us. "I accepted what you've done. I just thought it would stop when we..." I trailed off, my face growing red. "Look, I don't want to see you get hurt. Nor do I want to put our child in this kind of life—"

"Child!?" Harley exclaims, surprisingly she had remained quiet throughout this whole exchange. Her sharp blue eyes shoot back and forth between Jack and I.

Jack lets out a low growl, turning to her and snarl, "Shut up!" Before turning back to me.

Her faces reflects hurt as her lip juts out in a pout.

Jack's face was hard as his eyes narrowed at me. A finger points in my direction and I wrap my arms tighter around me. "I told you from the beginning that this is who I am. Like it or not, your mine and your stuck with me. I don't want to hear any more of it," he snaps harshly, taking a seat. "And stay away from Mikey Boy, he's none of your concern."

I was angry. No I was pissed! I felt like his prisoner again, instead of his partner. Not to mention Malcolm was my friend! And there was no way I was befriending that lunatic atomic blonde over there.

The only thing I could do was huff, turning away from him to show my displeasure with him. But I couldn't deny that I wanted nothing more than to curl up in his side and forget everything happening around me.

The drive wasn't very long, in fact I was surprised by how fast we made it to our destination. Harley had remained silent, her arms crossed as she secretly glared at me.
