I have so many drafts rn but none are done so here's a quick one.

So, y'all remember Path of the Jedi in season 1? Remember ezra's vision where Zeb, Chop, Hera, and Sabine were killed? Well, here's it in the "pov" of the others, since we don't really see their deaths, it focuses on ezra. yeet. this might be depressing.probably.

i might start out focusing on ezra, idk. and i love hera and ezra's relation ship so be prepared for some stuff with that

i mean i'm writing it soooo

Walking over to the door, it opened in front of the young Jedi. His eyes stung with tears. He wasn't believing Kanan was gone, he knew it was a trick from the temple. But he might have been hurt or...

No. Ezra had to force himself to not think about Ezra. He could hear the sound of Zeb's voice in the common room ahead of him,

"How do ya think the kid's doin?"

Chopper beeped in response, but Ezra didn't really know what he was saying. Hera was next to speak, but Ezra couldn't focus on her words. The sound of her voice calmed his nerves a little, the twi'lek was always kind to him ever since he first boarded the ship. He liked her, and she understood the force. Maybe enough to help Kanan.

Stop. It's not real. This might not be real either.

"-I don't think Ezra was ready."

He stopped in his tracks before the door. She didn't believe in him. He opened the door to hear them better, hiding behind the wall. Hera continued, "I don't think we'll be seeing him again. Which is... too bad."

"Really? Cause I'll be happy just to get my cabin back to myself." Zeb remarked, smirking.

"It's too bad because he had skills that were useful to our cause." Hera stopped him. Zeb laughed,

"Knew there was a reason you were bein so nice to him."

Ezra's eyes were wide, he was shocked. Zeb's words was expected, but not to be that bad. But Hera? He never thought he would hear something like that come out of his mouth.

"That's pretty cold guys," Sabine interuptted. Ezra felt a little bit of relief, she still cared. His heart dropped as she continued, "after all he's just a little kid. Scared. Alone. Me? I pity him..."

The boy looked down, heartbroken.

Zeb grabbed his shoulder and practically threw him into the room, "Well, look who's here."

Sabine stood up, looking at him. Ezra could have sworn she had reached for her blaster as she spoke,

"How long do you think he was listening?"

Ezra frowned, "Long enough."

Zeb sighed, "Nothing personal kid..."

"No!" Ezra replied, "this isn't you talking!"

Zeb stepped back confused by his words. The boy continued, as Sabine glanced back to Hera who didn't say anything, "I'm not on the Ghost. I couldn't be."

"Well that's just crazy talk," Zeb knew the force was crazy, but Ezra was right there. "You're standin right here!"

Ezra placed his hand on his forehead, trying to believe his own words, "No, I'm back in the te-"

There was a quick second, Ezra barley had time to blink, and Zeb was on the ground in front of him. A lightsaber was pulled from his back. A red one.

"No..."

Hera stood up, as Ezra backed away. He glanced over to her, seeing her motherly instinct to grab Sabine's arm and push her to the side. He watched in horror as the Inquisitor was standing in front of them. He cut Chopper in half, Hera yelled out something. Ezra rubbed his eyes, to both wipe tears away and try try and wake up from this nightmare.

Hera was next, the Inquisiot slashed her chest with his saber, as Ezra made his way to the door. Her scream echoed through the Ghost, and the door closed in front of him as she collapsed onto the ground.

Sabine stared at the door, shocked. Ezra had abandoned her. She felt terrible, the words she had said. Tears burned her eyes as the Inquisitor turned to her.

"Ezra!" she screamed, she begged, "wait!" He stepped towards her. Ezra wasn't coming back, "Ezra!"

He lifted the blade, then swung. She screamed, feeling it stab into her abdomen. She collapsed to the ground, holding her wound. Tears streaked her face, she looked up to him, begging for mercy. He swung again, then went to the door. Through her blurred vision, she could see Ezra in the hallway.

He got away.

---

Kanan turned back to him, noticing Ezra had gone quiet since they left the temple.

"Everything alright?" he asked.

Ezra held his knees close to his chest, nodding. Kanan got up and walked over, sitting besides him. Ezra looked up,

"I'm okay, really."

"You don't look it." Kanan placed his hand on Ezra's shoulder. He smiled his best,

"Just tired."

Kanan sighed, "What'd you see in there?"

Ezra smiled a little wider, trying to think about the good from the day. "All these stars... but they weren't stars, it was the kyber-"

"Ezra," Kanan cut him off, "what did you see?"

Ezra looked down, "The Inquisitor..." he muttered, "he killed you, at the temple. And on the Ghost too, he killed everyone else." Kanan nodded, waiting for him to continue, "some of the things they said though... that's what hurt."

"What'd they say?"

The tears came back into his eyes, "That they'd be okay if I was gone..." he explained, "that I was only there because of what I could do. That I didn't matter.... that I was juts some stupid little kid."

Kanan frowned, "You know it wasn't real, Ezra."

"I know," he looked up to Kanan, "but it still hurt. Especially from Hera..."

"You two are close, and she cares for you. I promise, she wouldn't say anything like that."

Ezra smiled, "You know, she was the first person who seemed to care. The first one to tresat me like family."

Kanan chuckled, "She's like that," he smiled, "it was her idea to take you in."

Ezra relaxed in his seat, closing his eyes. He looked back up to Kanan for a moment,

"Kanan?"

He looked over, "Yeah?"

"Thank you."
