Yu Yu Hakusho: A Sibling Story

Recap!

Ammara:*voiceover* Hey everyone! Ammara here! It's been a while since the author has updated, so it's time for a recap of the events of "A Sibling Story" thus far!

-Enters flashback mode-

I entered the Genkai Tournament with my brother, Kazuma Kuwabara to make sure he would be safe. Little did I know what awaited me there. The appearance of a power-hungry demon, Rando. He was hidden as one of the participants in the tournament, and it was troublemaking Spirit Detective Yusuke Urameshi's mission to track this demon down and return him to Spirit World.

The tournament battles raged on, until only Yusuke, Kazemaru, Shorin, Kuwabara, and I remained in the final rounds. Yusuke defeated Kazemaru after a very heated battle. And before I knew it, it was Kuwabara's turn. Sadly, he lost to Shorin and had his bones broken in the process. Soon after, it was revealed that Shorin was Rando. Seeing Yusuke struggling, I stepped in and fought Rando alongside him. After fearing that Yusuke died (after the whole hate fish thing), I awoke to a new power. My Spirit Arrows.

Just when I thought Rando was going to back me into a corner, Yusuke saved me and defeated Rando by using his own shrinking spell against him. After that, I took my brother home, and thought we'd have a moment of peace. But boy, was I wrong....

Not too long after the Genkai Tournament, Yusuke was called into action yet again. This time, his opponents were in the Makai (Demon) World. The Four Saint Beasts. A powerful band of demons who wanted to reside in the human world. And were willing to use the Makai insects (demons who could burrow into people's minds and control them) to do so.

After being informed of this from Botan (Grim Reaper and servant to Koenma), Yusuke agreed to set out. Worried about whether or not Yusuke could handle this on his own, Kuwabara and I followed Yusuke into the Makai realm.

Once there, we were attacked by these demons who feed on bodies called "Fugaki". We were in a pretty tight spot. When out of nowhere, two people saved us. Kurama, the emerald-eyed, red haired boy who healed my wounds, and Hiei, a fire apparition with a horrible attitude. After introductions were made, we headed into Maze Castle.

Soon after, we were tried by the Gate of Betrayal. We were forced to hold up a weighted ceiling while an eye bat demon thing taunted us. Out of options, Yusuke asked Hiei to run for the switch. Hiei quickly teleported there, and acted as if he were about to betray us.

But it was only a ploy. An act to get the eye bat demon to trust him, so he could attack it. He flipped the switch and we were free.

Not long after that, we ran into the Saint Beast, Genbu. A stone turtle like demon. Kurama didn't hesitate and immediately decided to fight him. He pulled out his Rose Whip, a whip capable of cutting through anything. Even Genbu's tough skin. Sadly, everytime Kurama did so, Genbu quickly regenerated. He was in a tight spot for a while, and even got injured in the process of finding a strategy...But he found a way to stop Genbu's regeneration and kill him. I patched up his wound and we headed to the lair of the next beast. The demon tiger, Byakko.

It was Kuwabara's turn to fight now. He stepped up and faced Byakko without fear. But he was quickly put in a pickle. After enduring several attacks from the mini beasts Byakko sent forth, Byakko himself stepped into the fray. He kept absorbing Kuwabara's energy with every strike of his Spirit Sword. However Kuwabara thought quickly on his feet and used his power to cause Byakko to explode. With Byakko defeated, we were able to continue forward to the next beast. Or so we thought...

Byakko had survived being blown up somehow! And we were forced to fight him again. My brother stepped up once again and fought Byakko over the boiling lava. Byakko kept blowing up Kuwabara's platforms with his voice, leaving Kuwabara with only one option...To lunge straight for Byakko and take him down with him!!! It worked, and Byakko plunged into the boiling lava. Sadly, there was no sign of my brother.
