Chapter 8: Three Idiots and a Lazy Girl

Sonic's POV
Hm? My phone's ringing. I checked the caller ID and it was my boss calling. "Sir?" I answered. "Sonic, we have a little change of plans. Instead of just watching over Y/N, I want you to observe her. The effects of Project Zero should be showing by now." "How should I observe her, boss?" I thought for a moment. I honestly don't know the difference between watching and observing her. Hopefully it won't be a pain in the ass to do. "I want you to carefully watch over her body." I blinked a couple of times, but held my composure. "Excuse me?" "Her physical form should be going through some changes. There's 3 stages of Project Zero that Y/N will experience. Stage 1 is enhanced physical abilities. Stage 2 is physical pain. She should be already be experiencing this right now as we speak. And stage 3 is the final completion of Project Zero. She will no longer be human after it is completed. At least not fully..." My eyes widened as boss mumbled the last part of his sentence quietly.

"What do you mean, sir? She won't be fully human?" I questioned my boss's bizarre experiment. I heard him sigh over the phone. "Project Zero was originally meant for a different, more capable test subject. However, when Y/N, the bald one, and the cyborg invaded the House of Evolution, the scientists I had employed there decided to use her seeing how she was there at the time of PZ's completion." "PZ? Project Zero?" I wanted to make sure that that's what PZ stood for. "Yes. Anyways, the scientists didn't know who they were testing PZ on. Y/N is very, very important to me. She's..." Boss was hesitant before he continued to speak. "She's the last piece of PZ that we have. We're currently trying to find a way to extract PZ from Y/N in hopes of transferring it to someone else. After it's complete, I want you to bring her to me. So please Sonic, watch over her. We cannot have her out of control." There was a short silent moment before I responded. "Yes, boss. I'll do it."

Genos's POV
I arrived at Sonic's supposed location. I ended up in the forest in front of a tree house. As I climbed up the ladder, Sonic had has blade against my neck as I entered the tree house. "How did you find this place?" He questioned. "That doesn't matter right now! Y/N is in trouble right now! She said to call the sexy ninja, so I assumed you would know what is goin in with her!" Sonic's eyes widened as he mumbled, "She called me sexy...?" "Please, Sonic! This is an emergency!" Sonic sighed and gathered his belongings. "Where is she?" I told Sonic about Master's address and he soon ran out of the treehouse. "I must catch up to him!" I then followed Sonic back to Master's apartment.

Saitama's POV
Y/N feel asleep while we were watching her favorite show. I tried to leave, but she held onto me. I soon heard the doorbell ring, so I slowly removed myself from Y/N's sleeping grasp. I opened the door to see both Genos and that other guy. What was his name again? Jack O Lantern Panic? The ninja looking guy gasped and lunged at me, but Genos held him back. "You! Saitama, I will have my revenge! Fight me right now!" I stared at him and then shifted my gaze to Genos. "Uh Genos, why is this guy here?" I asked. "This is Speed O Sound Sonic, Master. He knows what is going on with Y/N, so he's here to help." "Oh." I replied before finally letting them into the apartment. "Right this way. Be quiet though, she's sleeping." I warned Genos and Sonic before entering Y/N's room. She was still sound asleep and gripping her pillow. "Mhm... Yes, (insert anime character you love)! Of course I'll marry you!" We all cringed at the sight of Y/N dreaming about her weird anime love fest. "Hey. Wake up." I finally said while chopping her on the top of her head. Y/N shot up and glared at me. "What was that for?! I was enjoying my dream, and you-" Sonic cut her off by saying, "Shut up. Now what's wrong with you?"

Your POV
"Shut up. Now what's wrong with you?" Sonic said as everyone observed me. "I just woke up screaming because my whole body hurt. It felt like fire. It was so bad..." All three males looked at me, and I assumed that they were thinking of ways to figure out what's going on with me.
Here's what they're actually thinking
Saitama- Wait, wasn't there a sale today?
Genos- Master is really strong, but he's kind of an idiot
Sonic- It'd be really hot if Y/N and I &$!#%
Anyways, moving on...
Sonic looked me up and down, but I'm not sure if it was a 'why the hell am I here and why the hell do I have to help you' sorta look, or if it's a 'you look really disgusting and you smell kinda bad' look. Either way, my anxiety was skyrocketing. After a couple seconds of silence, Sonic spoke up. "Look, we can't fix what's happening to you right now. But, after PZ's fully complete I can take you to my boss and he'll extract it from you. The only problem with that however, is that we need a new host for PZ..." He grabbed his chin in a thinking manner. (You know, like how Todoroki does it) "Um, what is PZ anyways?" Genos and Saitama both looked at Sonic with curiosity written all over their faces. "I've been curious about that as well." Said Genos crossing his arms.

Sonic's POV
I looked at the three and sighed. "PZ, or Project Zero was an experiment created by my boss. He wanted to see if he could create his own superpowers. Unfortunately, PZ was stolen from him and somehow got transferred into Y/N. But, he can extract PZ from her body once it's been fully transferred into her. So for now, we just have to wait for it to complete and then I can bring her back to my boss to extract PZ." The baldy stood in front of Y/N's bed with his arms out. "I don't think so. You're not taking her anywhere! Ever again! You hear me, Jack O Lantern Panic!" I sighed once more. "I don't think you fully understand how bad this situation is for her. She could die if we don't extract PZ. And I can't let that happen. Boss's orders." The robotic one looked at Saitama. "If what he says is correct, Master, then it'd be best if we trust his word and bring Y/N to his boss." Saitama put his arms down in defeat. "Fine, but Genos and I are going with you." "I don't think my boss will allow that. He's a very private person." "Yeah, I can tell. The man was making his own superpowers!" Saitama spoke out and he sat down on the edge of the bed.

Genos's POV
I believe that we can trust Speed O Sound Sonic's story. He doesn't seem to have any ill intent. And I do not think he is lying either. But still, something doesn't add up right. "I'm assuming he wanted to create those powers for himself to use. So why would the superpowers that he's created possibly kill its vessel?" Sonic turned to me. "That's classified information. Anyways, PZ has a total of three stages. Once stage 3 is complete, I'll take her to my boss and-" Saitama interrupted him. "What are the three stages?" Sonic looked over at Y/N who- God damnit she went back to sleep. So she didn't hear any of this... "You don't need to worry about that. All that matters is that she just passed stage two and will enter stage three soon." Saitama groaned. "Ugh, enough with the secrets already!" Sonic whispered to himself, "Ha! I know something that you don't! Doesn't that just get your blood boiling, Saitama!?" and cackled to himself.

Your POV
I woke up again and saw Sonic laughing at Saitama. I also noticed Genos standing there with a disappointed look on his face as I looked at him. Hm? What did I do now? "Uh, so what now?" I asked as the three looked at me.
"You're staying with me."
"You're staying with us."
Sonic and Saitama simultaneously said as they looked at me. The two glared at each other. "No, she's staying with me!" Sonic said as he grabbed my right arm. "That's funny. She's staying with me and Genos!" Saitama said while grabbing my other arm. "G-Guys. Don't ya think you're pulling a little too hard?" I said, but it was ignored by the two yelling at each other. I looked in between them at Genos for help. "Genos, help!" In an instant, Genos was between the two and lifted me up in the air like how Mori lifted Haruhi in- okay I'll stop. Both Sonic and Saitama let go of my arms once they saw me being held by Genos. I began to blush from embarrassment. Not because I'm in his arms and he's really hot. Definitely not that. "Is this enough help, Y/N?" Genos said with a little smirk. And holy hell was it hot- I mean totally weird and ooc for him. Saitama then grabbed me from Genos and placed me back down on the bed. "Okay that's enough." He started, getting his serious face on. "We need to make a compromise. Talk to your boss and convince him to let us go with you. Otherwise we won't hand Y/N over." "I told you there's a chance of her dying if we don't extract PZ." Sonic said as he glared at Saitama. "Fine. Then we'll just have to make you take us with you." Sonic scoffed. "And how the hell do you think you're gonna do that, hm?" Saitama smirked. "By giving you what you want the most right now." Sonic looked confused. "A &$!#% from Y/N?" I blushed while Genos and Saitama cringed. "W-What the hell?! No! I meant a rematch! You wanted to fight me again, right? So I'll let you do that, as long as we go with Y/N." Sonic was silent for a moment before speaking up. "Deal. But can Y/N actually give me-" "NO!" We all said simultaneously. Well, except for Sonic of course.

Would you guys ever want a lemon or lime sort of thing later on in the story? Because I can make that happen
And this book still is a various x reader, so if I were to do something like a lemon at some point, I'd probably make it separate for each character because it would be harder to write a lemon where you got 3 smexy dudes on ya
