The First Date Pt. 2

Lauren had fell asleep on our drive. Good. I can fix the trunk up like I wanna. I really like my truck. It's got an extra long back and I can put the seats down. And I got a custom sunroof that extends along the back. This is me and Emani favorite thing to do. We'll go somewhere and have a little snack in the truck and just talk about any and everything. I wanna share this with Lauren.
After spreading out the blankets and body pillows and putting our food on plates, I lit a few candles and sprayed a little smell good on the blankets. I want her to be comfortable.
After I had everything set, I gently shook her to wake her up. She moaned and yawned a little. Her little cute ass. I smiled and held my hand out to her.

"Come on. I got everything set up."
"Mmm, where are we?"
"It's a park that I used to come to all the time to think when I was younger. It's one of me and my daughter favorite spot."

I grabbed her hand and helped her out the truck. Then I led her to the trunk. She looked at the set up and smiled big. I wanna lick her fucking dimples. I helped her get in and she scooted back to lie back on the pillow. I got in beside her and passed her a glass of wine. She smiled and said thank you while I poured me a cup of Hen.

"This is beautiful."
"I wanted to do something nice and authentic for you."
"Thank you. Honestly. No one's ever really done this for me before."
"I'm glad that you like it."
"I love it!"
"So, tell me about these other square ass niggas you've dated that's never went out their way for you?"
"I wouldn't say all that..."
"I'm saying, with me baby, I'm gonna sweep you off your feet and never put you down."
"Haha, whatever! I've only been in two serious relationships. Wayne and Trey. I feel like I wasted a lot of time with Wayne. It basically stretched over 10 years and I stayed down the whole time."
"So, you didn't talk to nobody else during that time?"
"No. I was holding out hope that we would make it. I met him while he was doing a tour in 1998 with the Hot Boyz. Me and my friends got a chance to go back stage and he approached me. I was young and I was star struck. And then when we got to know each other, I realized how sweet, intelligent and amazing he is. I honestly don't have a bad thing to say about him. We just didn't work out."
"Is there a chance for y'all down the road?"
"No. I mean, I normally try to keep an open mind about everything. But we've tried too many times and it's just a mutual respect and understanding there for us now. I'm grateful for Cam, but..."
"Speaking of little man, what's he like?"
"He's amazing! I love my baby! He's so smart, understanding and loving! I don't know where I'd be without my handsome!"

Seeing her gush about her son really stuck with me. I love when a woman is all about her family. And I could see that in Lauren. I found myself smiling. She's the type of woman that I want around Emani.

"What about your daughter? What's Emani like? She's beautiful by the way."
"She's my heart. She's also smart and got a love for reading and helping others like me. I just wish I could have her with me. Her mother be on some weird shit sometime and I hate it but I can't really do much."
"What all would you have to do to get her?"
"I've been reading up about it. Basically, provide an environment where she can grow. I want her to be safe and protected and I don't feel like she's getting that."
"Well, one day you'll have everything you need to have her with you."
"I pray for that. Having my own little family is all I've ever wanted."
"So tell me, what are you looking for in a woman?"
"Honestly, you."
"Haha, me?"
"Yeah. Obviously, I want a woman that I'm attracted to but... it's more than that. I want a best friend. A soul mate. A partner in every sense of the word. And I don't mean to scare you, but I think I can find all that in you."
"Wow... well, we're definitely off to a good start. I can honestly feel we will be good friends."

We did our normal staring but this time, my heart started beating a little fast. I heard her moan as she bit into her food and I laughed.

"Oh my God! Shut up! But this is soooo good!"
"I know! That's my favorite dish from my favorite restaurant in the hood. I'm vegan so finding that spot was a treasure hunt."
"How long have you been vegan?"
"My parents have always raised us on vegetables and fruits but I really got into it after pops took me and my brother back to his homeland. There's so many good nutrients in vegetables that a lot of people ignore because they fill their bodies with bullshit. I haven't had any form of meat in like 11 years."
"Woooowwww! I never thought I'd be able to go without meat but when I started modeling, there were so many crazy diets my agent wanted me to try. But the vegan one is the only one that I could deal with. Now, don't get me wrong, I still sneak some shrimp every now and then, but I've been sticking to it."

Damn, we got so much shit in common. Me and my baby mama used to clash all the time, about simple shit. Especially how I ate. She was the type that'll eat fast food all day and I'm the type of nigga that uplifts the person he with. So if I know better, best believe, I'm gonna school the people around me too.
The fact that we on the same page about so much shit, is definitely a breath of fresh air. I saw her looking at a book that I had in the back. I pulled it out.

"The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. My homie put me up on this."
"What's it about?"
"It's like, giving 48 laws to follow in order to achieve and maintain power. It's a good read and a good thing to keep in mind when dealing with people in this industry."
"I might need to read that."
"Oh most definitely. I'll let you get it whenever you want it."

We continued talking and time actually flew by. This is the best time I've spent with another person in a while, well, outside of Emani. I can get used to this.
After we finished eating and talking, it was like almost 11. We've been here for like 3 hours shooting the damn breeze. I asked her if she wanted to go for a ride so we did.
