As the strongest Mercenary alive, Vergil is confident to the point of arrogance, yet has no interest in personal glory, as he tells Raven, who envies Vergil's reputation, that she can have it.

Strengths: Vergil already had superhuman physical abilities since he was born and his might in battle marked him the greatest fighter in Remnant by Iromwood. An immensely skilled swordsman, Vergil is the only one deemed capable of using the Hebunkirā proficiently. He can swing faster than the human eye can see, and effortlessly cut through solid metal and concrete. He could easily rip off metallic effigy of Atlas Tech with his bare hands. In his battles he can teleport. One of his trademark abilities is to summon angels to drain his opponent's Aura. Vergil can also cast powerful blades of energy by swinging the Hebunkirā. When playing around, Vergil uses more energy-oriented powers: he can empower his blade, generate shields and bursts of energy, and even slow down time for his opponents. He can channel the energy into the ground to unleash a shockwave. Though preferring swordsmanship, Vergil was proficient in magic even before his immersion in the old God's Gifts. He used the elemental Dusts of Fire, Ice, and Lightning to cast Magic and project them as separate from himself to shield himself. He also has mastered the use of Magic that project shields, heal and revive. He has absorbed so much of the knowledge of the Ancient Civilizations from the Ancient Devices that he no longer needs a Semblance or Aura to use magic. After gaining the Primal Magic, he can use the most devastating destructive magic of all: Asteroid. While he can use it to destroy the planet, he can also perform it at a smaller scale to only damage his opponents. His semblance's main attack is Supernova, which has been described as 'Breaking the laws of existence' Vergil had great resilience even before his ascension to something of an immortal being, able to function after being impaled through his lower back by Yatsuhashi's Buster Sword, impaling Yatsuhashi on his Hebunkirā and even lifting him off the floor. Even after his physical body is destroyed, his will persists. Having gained control over his Magic-infused body, he can construct avatars in his likeness, as well as other eldritch entities, enabling him a physical presence in the world of the living and attaining a sort of immortality. He can remotely control Aura inside living organisms, control the thoughts and actions of those injected with his magic or Aura, and in severe cases can outright puppeteer their bodies. Being immersed in the Ancient Magic has granted Vergil psychic powers, allowing him to read others' minds, making him adept at emotional manipulation, preying on his foes' dark emotions. He can project illusions and levitate objects and even people, float even without his wing, and can summon the Hebunkirā at will. He can erect an impenetrable energy barrier to cover a entire crater. Weaknesses: Arrogant of Enemies abilities
