We unfused right after they said that and I stretched my arms then picked up the assist diamond.It changes shape and a shard of the first black diamond was in my hand along with my old pink gem.

Black diamond smiles and placed his shard back into an empty space before his diamond was once again complete.A bright light took over the extraction chamber.
