Eren x Reader: New Love Brew

(Hello everybody!! Sorry I haven't posted a story in a little while. All author's notes. But whatever! I'm posting one now! Here's a little reminder, @taylorbaby500 and I are still taking stories. We have about four now, and I'm still trying to figure out a way to get them to her. If this doesn't make any sense to you read the last chapter. So yeah!)

You were walking to your favorite cafe', The Grinning Titan. You don't really know who came up with the name. It's a little weird, but whatever. You don't come to The Grinning Titan because of the name or the coffee or even the food, despite all the edibles being very delicious. No, you came for the baristas.

Your best friend, Hanji, worked at The Grinning Titan. She'd buy you coffees all the time. It became a little tradition between the two of you. You'd come every other day before work and the two of you would have breakfast.

One day, when you walked in, Hanji wasn't there in front of the door to scream a greeting. She was talking to another barista behind the counter. That's weird, you thought. There's a new one. I thought they had plenty of employees.

The new guy was fairly tall with brown hair, green eyes and kind of a thin body. You felt yourself blush a bit. He was cute. Hanji had told you his name was Eren a little bit later.

You had developed a crush on Eren over time. And today, you decided you were going to ask him out. You sighed. He was really nice to you and he would occasionally join you and Hanji for breakfast so that could mean he likes you, right? You groaned. Let's see how this goes.

When you opened the door of The Grinning Titan, Eren was at a cash register. He was hurriedly hiding something under the desk. You were too busy wondering what Eren was doing you didn't notice Hanji coming in like a viper.

Hanji half tackled half hugged you.

"____!! HI!!" She shouted. You blushed and hugged her back.

"Hi, Hanji..." You looked over at Eren. He was waving, but he was also blushing like a maniac. What was up with him today?

"So, are you ready to have breakfast?! Eren said he was gonna join us. Right, Eren?!" Eren smiled.

"Right, Hanji... So what's up ____?" Eren said. You grinned.

"It's a big day for me. I'm finally going to ask a guy I've liked for a while out." You smiled, but Eren did not. All the color drained from his face.

"W-what?! Oh! That's... Exciting..." He sputtered. He was acting so weird today.

"SO!! Are you ready to eat? I'm hungry!! C'mon, sit down!!" Hanji ushered you to a seat. Eren shuffled out from behind the counter and sat next to you.

Hanji brought some snacks and coffee to the table you sat at and began to eat. You joined her. Eren picked up his coffee but didn't drink it.

"So, uh, ____, who's this guy you're going to ask out?" Eren asked. Hanji looked up from her food questioningly. You stared at Eren and then looked at Hanji pleadingly. Her eyes sparked.

"There's some stuff I have to do in the back. Keep Eren company." Hanji said, grinning. She got up and slowly walked to the door into the kitchen. You looked back at Eren.

"Well... This guy... You see..." You began. Eren then abruptly got up and ran behind the counter.

"Listen, ____, I don't actually care who this guy is, the only thing I care about is that he's not me." Eren pulled out a bouquet of roses from under the cashier's desk. You gasped.

"Kind of a funny story, but today I was going to ask a girl out. She's really pretty and nice and friendly and now I found out she's going to ask another guy out, and... You probably know who this girl is..." Eren walked over and pushed the roses towards you. You gently took them and looked up at Eren, blushing.

"You probably really like this guy but please reconsider, I really want to go out with you and-" Eren was cut off by your laughter. He blushed and looked at his feet. You stood up and put the roses on the table next to you.

"Eren... No offense, but..." You lifted his chin up and pecked him on the lips. "You're a little clueless." He turned the same shade red as the roses he had given you.

"This guy... Was it... Me?" He said, dumbfounded. You nodded and laughed again. Then you were cut off by Eren pulling you closer and kissing you. You smiled and kissed him back.

"I KNEW IT!!! LEVI OWES ME TWENTY BUCKS!!!!" Hanji screamed. You and Eren blushed.

"I was right all along!! The Grinning Titan can brew new love!! Goddamn!! You can have the day off, Eren." Hanji winked. "You need it."

(Hahaha, Eren was kinda an airhead in this. Oh well, he got smart in the end and asked you out ;) So yay! I'm on vacation right now, so I'm sorry if I haven't been posting that often. I'm about to enter high school, so updating will be a little harder, but I'll do my best!! Keep reading!)
