Today the world received some bad news. And I'm sorry if I'm the first person you've heard it from but...
Robins Williams has died from suicide, at the age of 63.
He was a great comedian and actor.
Hook. Flubber (two of my favorites as a child.) Mrs.Doubtfire. Dead Poets Society. Aladdin. Jumanji. Night at the Museum. RV. Happy Feet.
There's so many more.
I grew up watching his movies and learned from him. He was a huge part of my childhood and I was greatly influenced by this man and I know many of my generation were influenced as well. I'd watch Flubber and Hook over and over again with my mom in our empty living room. He inspired me everyday.
I'm so heartbroken by these news. He hid his depression so well, as many comedians do. It breaks my heart to know someone so loved was lost to depression. This happens every day. The suicide rate is rising and nothing is being done about it. I myself almost falling victim years ago, I'm so distraught hearing these news. I cried. It feels like someone important was ripped out of my heart. Something could've likely prevented this and I wish it was prevented.
My prayers and thoughts go out to him and his family for their loss.
