Two Years Later

(Y/n)'s POV

"Happy two year anniversary!" Alphonse said, hugging me then twirling me around.

"It feels like it hasn't been that long." I said, smiling a bit and reminiscing on the past two years with him.

"Well... since I'm going away soon, I want to do something special." He said, his nose touching mine.

In two years, I've been going back and forth from my town to Resembool, helping out with the slightly larger population there and convincing Ms. Jasmine to keep her shop. I also joined the military, which took lots of convincing from Alphonse, who wanted me to be safe and take it easy for a while. But, I became the certified State Alchemist: The Ammonia Alchemist. I can basically make an array of explosives, poisonous gases, but only when exposed to some sort of heat, so I work along side Mustang a lot.

Other than that, I've just been chilling with Alphonse and studying with him. And he's been amazing, our relationship is stronger than ever, as well. But I'm kinda worried about when he goes off traveling, I can't point out why, it's probably just be being nervous about everything.

"Congrats, you guys!" Winry said, hopping downstairs as Ed soon followed after, both with bed head. "When are you going out?" She said, letting out a yawn soon after.

"Probably at around 7." Al said, smiling a little.

"When are you leaving?" She said, knowing well that Ed was leaving today. I kinda feel bad for her, knowing well they are a thing, just not as serious.

"In a couple of days." He said, fidgeting a bit.

"Well, you better make it last, I've never even heard you two have-"

"Alright Winry! You probably have Ed's automail to fix or check up on! On your way!" I say, pushing her out of the room, leaving Alphonse and I alone, both with blushes on our face.

"I mean, she's right." Alphonse said bluntly, as I covered my red face.

"I thought you where supposed to be the shy one!" I said, shooing his response off. I heard him chuckle a bit.

"I guess not then." He said, teasing me. He tried to get me to uncover my hands, trying to pull them down or poke me. Then, he went down eye level and looked at me. "I love you." He said, cheerfully.

"...... I love you too."

"You look amazing! Who knew you actually had a good sense of style!" Winry said, fixing my hair and helping zip up a part of my dress. I looked in the mirror and spinned around. I had on a blue dress, with black flats on that Winry helped me pick out the previous day. I skipped down the stairs, feeling a light smile on my face. Alphonse had on a vest with a long sleeve shirt under it, with a smile on his face.

"Are you ready?" He said, about to link his arm with mine.

"Yep. Onward!" I said, pointing to the door before opening it.

"Have fun!" Winry said, before I skipped out the door with Alphonse.

"So... what are we doing?" I say, skipping along the path.

"You'll see." He said, with a smile on his face. "You look beautiful."

"And you look handsome." I say, leaning into him.

When we get there, we're awaited by a hot air balloon, on the ground by lots of sandbags.

"Woah...." I say, looking at it. He leads me inside and I sit down across from him, as he quickly lets a few sandbags down and closes the door, as we fly into the air.
