Campin' II

Coral sat down on a log, in between Kai and Maya. Shelly sat on the opposite side of them, she was busy digging through her messy bag.

" What are you looking for Shelly?" Coral asks curiously.

" I'm trying to look for it..wait....where is it?" Shelly says in a strained tone.
Just then her eyes lit and she pulled out an small withered book that appeared to be old.

" What is that supposed to be?" Kai asks with his eyebrows furrowed.

" Oh, this old thing? It's a book that you use to summon spirits, my gramps passed it over to me because he says that it's better than scary stories!" Shelly proudly says.

" Ooh awesome! Can I see it?" Maya says as she peered over Shelly's shoulder to take a better look.

The cover read " SUMMON SPIRITS,"

" Uhh, Im not sure if summoning spirits is such a good idea guys.." Coral says nervously.

" Spirits? Like ghosts??" Kai says with confusion.

A cold prickly feeling crept over Coral's arms, she was getting goosebumps from the idea of "summoning spirits".

" No thanks, I think I'll pass.." Coral says as she rubbed her arms.

Just then, sounds of footsteps crinkled over fallen dead leaves and Finn emerged from the woods.

" Hey y'all, I got more fire wood!" He says as he throws the firewood that he collected into the pile of woods.
" So what do y'all wanna do when the fires up and at em'?"

" We were thinkin' of summoning spirits and eating s'mores." Maya says as she points to the old withered book.

" Ohohoho, that sounds awesome!!" Finn says as he flips open the book.

Bruno and Alex came over to the fire pit with bags of chips.
" Ooh, summoning spirits ay? Count the both of us in, we got chips!" Bruno says with his mouth full of chips.

" Yeah sounds fun, also stop talking with your mouth full babe." Alex says with his arms crossed.

Kai didn't seem to mind since he didn't really know what summoning spirits really did but he noticed that Coral seemed to be bothered by it.

He looked over his left shoulder and observed Coral's facial expression.
" Are you alright?" He asked with concern.

" N-no.. I just don't feel comfortable with the idea of summoning spirits. I watch way too many horror movies and have heard plenty of stories.." Coral says with her arms hugging her knees.

" Oh that's alright, mayybee.. we can go stargazing? Just me and you?" Kai suggests as he tries to think of other options to avoid summoning spirits.

" Mhh, alright." Coral says as she gets up from her seat. Kai gets up as well and brushes off his pants.

" Where are you guys going?" Alex asks as he finishes lighting the fire.

" Oh yeah, is it alright if we just go stargazing? I-I'm not really keen or comfortable with ghosts and paranormal stuff.." Coral says a little embarrassed.

" Oh..yeah! Go on ahead you two, well just be over here! Be safe! Shelly says.

" Alright!" Coral says as her and Kai are already on their way up a hill.

" NO FUNNY BUSINESS!!!" Bruno hollers with his two hands cupped over his mouth like a speaker.

Kai flinches from that and Coral rolls her eyes as they continue to make their way up the hill.
