Splatoon: Agent 8 x Agent 3

Do You Remember?

The sun began to set but Agent 3's apartment wasn't too far from Inkopolis Square. Her apartment was a 3 story bricked building with a balcony that extended from each window of an apartment room.
Agent 8 and 3 made their way up the stairs inside the apartment complex and to the very top where Agent 3's room was.
As Agent 3 was unlocking her apartment's door, 8 nervously looked around making sure no one else entered the apartment complex. He didn't want to deal with what happened back at the square.

" Welcome to my humble little home." Agent 3 says as she enters her apartment. Agent 8 follows after her and looks around her apartment with astonishment.
It's modern style and very simple. The structure of the apartment room wasn't too fancy or complicated which Agent 8 liked about it.
" Wow it's very nice and cozy." Agent 8 tells 3.
Agent 3 smiles at his compliment and replies " I'm glad you like it, however the only problem is that there is only one bedroom..soo you'll have to sleep on the couch."
" That's okay, your already providing me a place to stay at anyways." Agent 8 says.

For a while the two stare at each other, waiting for someone to speak up. Eventually Agent 3 clears her throat and questions Agent 8. " if you don't mind 8, can you call me by my real name since I'm thinking about taking you to the square again for clothes?"
" I don't want to reveal that we are Agents..it's kinda careless to just go by Agent 3 in public..speaking of what happened today." She adds.
" Oh, o-of course. Well what's your name?" Agent 8 says.
" It's Coral, but I remember Cap'n Cuttlefish told me that you lost your memory after the fight between us back on my mission with Cap'n Cuttlefish. Do you think you could try to remember what your name was again?" Coral asks.
Agent 8 closes his eyes and tries to think of who he was called before when he worked for the Octarians.
He stood trying to think for at least 5 minutes but no name popped into his head.
" I-I don't know." He says frowning, " Nothin' came up."
" Hmm, maybe I'll just call you Kai. You look like a Kai." Coral says hoping it might cheer Agent 8 up.
" Kai. Umm, okay I guess I could go by Kai?"Agent 8 says.

The two smile at each other and then Coral looks at the little digital clock on the kitchen counter.
She reads 8:30 p.m.
" Well I'm going to head off to bed now, I'm usually used to getting home late from patrols but I'm not much of a night owl." Coral says as she begins to walk to her bedroom. She then stops and adds " There is also some leftovers in the fridge if you're hungry so help yourself."
" Alright thanks Coral, but I think I'll go to sleep now too." Kai replies.
Both then say their good nights and Kai goes to the couch and places the pillow on the couch's arm and grabs a blanket that was folded neatly on a chair.

Thursday, 7:15 a.m
The sun beat down onto Kai's forehead from the window. He shifted around trying to somehow avoid the sunlight but it was no use so he decided to just wake up instead. Kai yawned and then rubbed his eyes.
" Good-morning!" Coral sings while holding a cup of Special-Saver Latte.
Kai looks up at Coral and smiles " Good morning to you too."
"I checked Off the Hook today and apparently Marina and Pearl knows that your here in Inkopolis." Coral says while getting her squid phone from the coffee table.
" Shit, I-is that bad?!" Kai frantically replies.
" Calm down, just look at what they said about you." Coral explains as she gives her squid phone to Kai.

Kai clicks the un-pause button and like always Peal starts off :

"Y'all know what time it is!" Pearl says
" It's Off the Hook, coming at you LIVE from Inkopolis Square!" Marina says followed after Pearl.

Once Kai watched the current announced stages and news about grizzco, Marina tells the audience that there is an Octoling in Inkopolis square.

" As you guys may already know, there has been an Octoling spotted in Inkopolis. He has absolute no intentions of harming anyone as I- I mean Pearl and I have worked with him in the past!" Marina explains while nervously twirling her hair in between her fingers.
" Yeah he's pretty fresh and chill so ya'll don't need to worry about Agen-um him!" Pearl says.

" Until next time.." Pearl then quickly says.
" Don't get cooked...Stay Off the Hook!" Both say ending the video.

" Well at least Pearl and Marina got you covered, a little.." Coral says while Kai gives her squid phone back.
" I-I dunno , there's gotta be inklings out there that will probably still think bad of me.." Kai says nervously.
" Don't worry, I'll make sure that they will have to eventually accept you and see you as just another Inkopolis citizen." Coral reassures Kai. " I'll be by your side, okay?" She adds while smiling.
" Hmm, alright." Kai mutters.

" Well, you pretty much did come unprepared so how about we head off to the Galleria to get you some stuff?" Coral says as she begins to fetch her wallet from her bedroom.
" That sounds great." Kai replies while smiling.

Authors note: Btw Kai means ocean, I chose names related to the ocean because of Pearl and Marina and Callie and Marie. Sorry if the chapters are too short, my chapters usually range from 700-1,000 words and it just means that I finish them literally within 1-2 hours. I still kinda hate this story already lmao.
