Today was the day Zhengting gets home from their group's song promotions and you couldn't be any more happier. You also had a surprise for him, you were 4 weeks pregnant. And, you were eagerly waiting to give him the big news. The two of you decided to go out for dinner. Zhengting wasn't the type of guy to be late for anything, so when he didn't call or text you, you started to worry.

You got up from the table and started to walk around the kitchen, pacing back and forth until you stopped in front of the window. You were hoping to see Zhengting's car in the drive, but it was empty. Just then, you heard you phone vibrate on the table. You quickly rushed back to the table and answered it without bothering to look at the called ID.

"Hello?" You said, you voice shaky from fear and worry.

"Hi, Miss. (y/l/n)? Your fiance is in the hospital. You should come quick. He's been calling for you," the lady behind the phone said. You told the lady you were on your way and hurried up. You tried to move your feet, but they stayed glued to the floor. Suddenly, you screamed out in heart ache and pain when the tears started to stream down your faces. You covered your mouth, hoping to quiet, or at least stop, the sobs. Just then, you felt the coldness of your engagement ring against your skin of your bottom lip. The memories of that night came flooding back to mind.

"Zhengting! What are you doing?!" You welled as your laughter filled the December air. Your boyfriend of 7 years was currently throwing you over his shoulder as he started walking around. By the time you were back on your feet again, coloured Christmas lights came into your view. They were hung all around the trees in the park you and Zhengting were at. You were too busy admiring the scene when you felt Zhengting tug on your hand.

"Wha-" you started to say until you saw him in front of you. On one knee. With a small box in the palm of his hand. Your hand flew to your mouth as Zhengting started to say, "I want you forever, forever and always. Through the good and the bad and the ugly. We'll grow old together, forever and always. So will you, "(y/f/n) (y/l/n) be the new Mrs. Zhu?"

Your words got stuck in your throat as he opened the red velvet box to reveal the most gorgeous ring you have ever seen. Knowing the simple 'yes' wasn't going to be spoken, you vigorously nodded your head, silently giving him his answer. As Zhengting slipped the ring on your finger, a thousand yes's flew from your mouth. "I love you so much," you said as Zhengting was lifting you into the air and spinning you around. The second you were put down, you took his face in your hands and pulled him in for the most passionate kiss the two of you have ever shared.

You hadn't realised you were at the hospital until the flashing red and blue lights from ambulances filled your vision. When you finally found a parking spot, you rushed inside and to the reception desk, "Zhu Zhengting," you said just as the lady looked up at you. Her eyes were filled with sympathy as you said Zhu Zhengting's name. She stood up from behind the desk and started walking down the hallway. These halls were never ending. It felt like eternity before you were finally standing in front of the hospital room. Just then two doctors came out of the room, talking in a hushed tone.

"Oh, hello. Are you Mr. Zhu Zhengting's fiance?" they asked. You gave them a small nod before they started talking again. You tried to pay attention, but you couldn't. You gaze stayed straight ahead as they spilled out information regarding your fiance's accident. Finally, they told you that you were able to go in and see him. You felt tears spew from your eyes as you thought about seeing him.

Without thinking, you swung open the door only to see the brightest smile on Zhengting's face. The room went silent as you closed the door behind you. Zhengting looked straight at you, his smile only getting bigger. Everyone in the room left, giving the two of you a bit of privacy. Zhengting held his hand out, wanting you to come to him. You settled in the chair next to his hospital bed and took his hand in yours, holding on for dear life.

Almost immediately, Zhu Zhengting started talking about your future together. The children you're going to have and their name. The house on that little hill you always dreamed about living in. That was the thing you loved most about Zhengting. He was always seeing the positive in things. No matter how bad or good, his attitude was always positive.

"We can get a cute little house on the hillside and we'll stay there forever, forever and always. Through the good and the bad and the ugly. We'll grow old together, and always remember. Whether rich or for poor or for better, we'll still love each other, forever and always," Zhengting said gently squeezing your hand as he saw tears streaming from your eyes.

It quickly got quiet as his eyes shifted to the engagement ring on your finger. He ran his thumb over it, smiling at the memory. Suddenly, a light bulb went off in your head. You got up from the chair and went to get some nurses and Zhengting's mum, who was currently waiting outside in the hallway.

You saw a couple come out of the room next door and without hesitation, you asked, "Hi. Can I please borrow your wedding rings?" Tears brimmed your eyes at the thought of them saying no. The old woman could see the sadness in your eyes as she handed hers over to you. She nudged her husband's side, telling him to hand his over as well. You smiled at the couple, imagining them as you and Zhengting when you grow old.

They followed you back to Zhengting's room. Right then and there, you got done on one knee and took Zhengting's hand in yours, "Zhengting, I want you forever, forever and always. Through the good and the bad and the ugly. We'll grow old together, and always remember. Whether happy or sad or whatever, we'll still love each other, forever and always." Laughter filled the air as you finished and slipped the ring on his finger, as he did the same with you.

You heard the beeping on the machines start to slow down. The smile on Zhengting's face fell as he came back to reality. The two of you looked at each other, knowing this might be your last moments together. Zhengting weakly crashed his lips with yours. The tears on your face mixed with his.

Zhu Zhengting pulled away and said, "I love you forever, forever and always. Please just remember even if I'm not there, I'll always love you, forever and always." His voice became loq and barely audible. Almost right after the words were spoken, the machines stopped beating and Zhengting's chest stopped moving up and down. The waterfall of tears streamed down your face.

I didn't even get to tell him I was pregnant with his child.

"Forever and always," you said back to him one last time.
