I'm currently wearing sweatpants and a black tank top watching some shows on iQiyi. It's pouring outside and I didn't feel like really doing anything in the rain today so I just got a bunch of snacks, and watched some videos on my computer. I stuffed chips in my mouth while yelling at my computer.

My phone dings loudly and I grab my phone and see who texted me. I got a text message from my best friend Xiao Gui. I've had a crush on Xiao Gui ever since we became friends but I never told him and still don't want to tell him because I feel he doesn't like me back and I don't want to ruin our friendship. My daze is broken as my phone dings once again. I open his messages and looked at what he had texted me.

Lin - (Y/N)! ANSWER
Lin - ANSWERRR
(y/n) - yes Mr Dreads??
Lin- heyy
(y/n) -hey... Is that all you wanted?
(y/n) - not to be rude
Lin - yeah kinda
Lin- but not at the same time, I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out today maybe..?
(y/n)- but Kaiiiii... I don't wanna get up
Lin- then I'll go over there
(y/n) - ok, sounds good
Lin - ok. Be there in 5.

I heard a knock on my room door.

"Come in" I say looking at the door open revealing a smiling Xiao Gui.

"Hey birdie" he says walking over to me and pinching my cheeks.

"Heyy" I reply back as he jumps on the bed and lays next to me. "This is what you've been doing all day?" He laughs.

"Yup" I smile. "What ya watching?" He asks "(favourite show)" I simply state staring at the computer. "Ugh." he replies taking a chip and watching the show with me. 10 minutes or so goes by and I can feel Xiao Gui's eyes beaming down on me. I look up and my eyes meet his beautiful ones.

"Why're you looking at me?" I question smiling.

"I wasn't looking at you"

"Yes you were"

"No I wasn't"

"Fine. Whatever" I give in laughing a bit. The show ends and all the power goes off. I got scared and jumped forgetting the fact that Xiao Gui was laying right next to me.

"Shhh, it's ok. Nothing's gonna happen, I'm here" I felt a sudden weight get picked off my shoulders. A few minutes has gone by and I looked up at Xiao Gui, admiring his features. He looks down at me and chuckles. "Now, why're you looking at me?"

"Maybe because I think you're a beautiful human. Like, are you even human?" I question him laughing.

"I think I am (y/n)" he returns the laugh and I suddenly got this urge to tell him how I felt.

"Xiao Gui"

"hmm?"

"Lin Kai, I like you. A lot, maybe enough to call it love. But I've never told you because I was too scared of what you would say and I didn't want to ruin our friendship. I love you and everything about you. I love your smile, your laugh, your eyes, your hair, the way you treat everyone, I just love you so much. You make me feel so happy and make me feel good about myself. No matter what. No matter if I was not in a good mood or something in my life wasn't right, you would make me feel so much better. Oh god, I can't believe I just said all of that. Ugh, what if you start hating me. Oh my god I'm so stupid, Xiao Gui I'm sorry I did this, I'm sorry I sai-" and with that I was cut off with a pair of lips smashing on mine. I felt fireworks go off as the kiss depend and the butterflies in my stomach went crazy.
Xiao Gui pulled away and looked into my eyes "(y/n), I love you too. I was afraid to tell you because I thought you'd end up hating me because you didn't feel the same" A sudden wave of relief washed over me and I smiled and hugged him. "(y/n), I've been wanting to ask this question for the longest time ever... Will you be my girlfriend?" He became nervous as he went on. I jumped on the bed.

"YES YES YES YES YES" I screeched he laughed and fell onto the bed. I cleared my throat and said, "uh, I mean, yeah of course" I acted cool. He laughed even more and pecked my lips, pulling me into a hug. "(y/n), I love you."

"I love you too Xiao Gui" I replied with the biggest smile I've had in a while. I finally felt happy and complete.
