Today, Ryland and I decided to have a lazy day in the house.

"What do you want to do?" I ask, growing bored of just sitting around the house.

"I dunno," Ryland shrugs, pulling me closer to cuddle.

I think for a minute, then an idea pos in my head.

"We could go to the pet store, Ry!" I exclaim.

"Okay, let's go," he pauses. "But we're not buying any pets, right?"

"You never know." I shrug, running to the front door, slipping on my grey Converse, heading out the door with Ryland.

-- at the pet shop --

"Oh my gosh, Ry, look at this puppy! He's so cute!" I gush, cuddling the puppy in my arms.

"He is pretty cute." Ryland states, smiling slightly at you, petting the puppy's soft fur.

"He's just like you!" I beam at my boyfriend.

"What?" Ryland's eyebrow's furrow in confusion. "But he's a dog."

I giggle. "No silly, I meant because he's so cute, and you're so cute, so he's just like you!"

Ryland blushes. "Shut up," he says, still smiling.

"You are pretty cute, though," I smile, kissing Ryland's heated cheek.

I look down at the puppy again, then back up at Ryland. "Can we get him, pleeeeaseee?"

I make a puppy-dog face to match the puppy's, knowing Ryland couldn't resist.

"I dunno, Brandy," he sighs.

"Please?" I beg.

Ryland chuckles. "Fine,"

"Yay! Let's go buy everything we need!" I smile, kissing my boyfriend's cheek as he smiles at me.

-- at home --

"What're we going to name him?" I ask.

"I dunno," Ryland pauses. "What about Bryland?"

"Really, Ry? Our ship name?" I laugh.

"Yeah, why not?"

"Alrighty, Bryland it is!" I laugh, pulling the puppy into my lap from the floor where he was playing around.

Ryland scoots closer to me, wrapping an arm around my waist, pulling me closer.

"Love you, Brandy," he sighs in contentment.

"Love you, too, Ry."
