Chapter 107: Ultra Instinct Returns! (Part 1)

Yamcha looked towards the spectator stands, directly at Universe 11's warriors and gods, and he laughed joyfully. "Ha ha!" he shouted, pumping his fist, "You guys thought you had won, didn't you? Well, now who's laughing?!" Belmod scowled. "That damned Son Goku. How many times is he going to surpass his limits?" Whis was beaming. "I didn't expect to see it so close to the end like this!" Beerus cracked his knuckles, grinning, and he stood up. "Well, then, let's have another look..." his eyes sharpened as he continued, "...at Ultra Instinct!" "Ultra Instinct..." Master Roshi mused. "It's the third time Goku has taken on that form." Tien said. "This is probably, no, definitely the absolute last chance." Whis declared, "The deeper one steps into the realm of the gods, the greater the toll on one's body. There's no one left who can help and no way left to heal. The next time that glow disappears from Goku's eyes is when everything will be decided."

Goku closed his eyes, and the actual Ultra Instinct aura surrounded him. When he opened his eyes again, he was jumping towards Jiren while readying a punch, and Jiren was also getting ready to swing. Goku had jumped about fifteen feet in less than a second, with his aura leaving a blue trail of floating flames. Goku and Jiren clashed fists. A huge explosion went off in that area. Then three more appeared around that first one. In the middle of all the explosions, Goku and Jiren fought it out at such high speeds and with such intense ferocity that everyone was watching intently. As Goku and Jiren continued to fight, more explosions went off across the fighting stage pieces. "It's started!" Future Zen-Oh exclaimed. "Yeah, it's started!" Zen-Oh replied. "The Tournament Of Power is finally at its most crucial moment." Grand Minister declared, "Jiren and Son Goku. The showdown between the two who have continued to amaze the gods. It looks like no one wants to miss a moment of it." He was right- every warrior, disqualified or not, was watching the battle in awe. Every god and angel was studying the fight intently. Goku reeled back his fist as he shouted a battle cry, and he threw a punch that was so forceful it made a shockwave which flattened every bit of Kachi Katchin in its path. But his punch had missed. Jiren tried to punch Goku in the stomach, but Goku flipped over his arm without looking, then turned and threw a kick. Jiren arched his back while behind him explosions rumbled the entire World Of Void. Jiren's eyes flashed red, and Goku immediately crossed his arms as thousands of invisible physical attacks hit him. He blocked them all. Goku jumped backward, and Jiren gave chase. The two began going back and forth, their arms and legs blurs as they continued their duel.

As Goku and Jiren kept battling, the collision of physical strikes caused lightning to arc out and strike various parts of what remained of the fighting stage, causing even more explosions to burst into the air. "What a tremendous battle." Supreme Kai said, "Goku's movements are even sharper!" "But, it looks like he can't land a decisive blow." Elder Kai noted. "It's the same as with Kefla." Whis said, "When he attacks, Goku is letting his thoughts interfere. The various thoughts and decisions that occur when attacking. With Ultra Instinct, these will dull attacks and prevent them from having their proper impact. Hopefully he can avoid just wasting time and stamina without landing a single effective strike." Goku leaped backwards onto a pillar of Kachi Katchin and brought his hands together in a way that was now second nature to him. "Ka..." Jiren threw a punch that made a shockwave, but Goku leaped away as the pillar behind him crumbled. "It's a Kamehameha!" Tien exclaimed.

"The way he beat Kefla." Krillin said. "It's a last resort, but he'll have to bet on that." Master Roshi said. Goku hopped onto a floating rock, then onto another as Jiren destroyed the first one. "Me..." Jiren's eyes flashed red again, and Goku jumped into the air as the rock under his feet broke apart, too. "Ha..." The energy ball grew larger between his hands. "Me..." Jiren was surrounded by what seemed like a barrier of invisible strikes. Goku threw his hands forward. "HAAAAAA!" The following explosion of energy sent up blue pillars of energy all their own. But when Goku and Jiren could be seen again, Jiren had made the Kamehameha split into smaller beams around him by holding up a Power Impact. Then, Jiren fired the Power Impact and sent Goku flying. Goku still had Ultra Instinct, though- he had used the Kamehameha blast to shield himself. Belmod smirked. "In this situation, no matter how good his defense is, he can't win if his offense is no good. An incomplete Ultra Instinct is merely a futile resistance to delay defeat." Vegeta and Marorizu both snorted. "Hmph!" they both grunted. "What utter rubbish." Vegeta said. Belmod stood up and looked at Vegeta, who kept talking: "Incomplete, you say? That means there is something that lies beyond his current power. To ignore that and decide the outcome... Since when did gods become so hasty?" "What is your point?" Khai asked. "Are you saying he'll master Ultra Instinct from now and surpass Jiren?" Belmod laughed. "Impossible! Talk about rubbish!" Vegeta stood up. "What makes you so sure?" Marorizu also stood up and continued her brother's speech.

"In this Tournament Of Power, in this limited time, we Saiyans have broken through our limits time and time again." Marorizu opened her eyes and turned towards Belmod. "You've seen it, too." Belmod clenched his teeth as he watched Goku's Ultra Instinct aura slowly begin to return. "Jiren, end it already!" he shouted. "Knock Son Goku off now!" Jiren's fiery red aura came back as he blasted towards Goku. "Kakarot!" Vegeta and Marorizu called, "We've placed our prides, our promises, everything in your hands! Your defeat is unacceptable! Step over the state of the gods! And defeat Jiren, Kakarot!" As Jiren got ready to punch Goku out of bounds, Goku's eyes opened and he flipped upright, clenching his fists and shouting another war cry as his aura returned in full force. His voice and aura alone sent out winds that had the speed and force of a hundred hurricanes. Even Jiren was pushed back a little. Goku closed his eyes and lowered his head, taking a long, deep breath. Then he opened his eyes and looked down at Jiren again.
