So..This is based off a comment on one of my previous oneshots, (i don't remember which one but I think it was one of the truth fruit ones) Anywho it wasn't supposed to be a prompt (I don't think) but I thought it would be really clever. So yeah...enjoy!

"Lance!" Keith yelled. Lance turned around and flashed Keith a dazzling smile. Keith felt his heart speed up, as if it were trying to escape his chest. He felt his face grow red before he shook his head.

"What can I do for ya?" Lance asked.

"Lance what were you doing up at one o'clock last night?" Keith asked, getting straight (ha get it? Cuz Keith gay af....no..okay Imma go now) to the point. Lace paled.

"How did you--"

"I train every night," Keith reminded Lance. "What were you doing?"

"I was training," Lance said gruffly. "You guys always tell me to train more so that's what I'm doing. I'm getting better so I'm no longer useless. Sorry for taking away your time, though, I won't do it again."

"Lance..what are you talking about?" Keith asked, his heart racing, but not of excitement, but of fear. Keith didn't like where this conversation was going. "You're not useless. Who told you that?"

Lance scoffed. "No one needed to. I figured it out on my own."

Keith grabbed Lance's shoulders forcefully and shoved him into a wall, ignoring said mans protests. "You are not useless Lance!" Keith growled. He was starting to lose it. Dammit! Why couldn't he just keep his emotions in check?

"Yes I am!" Lance argued. "I can't do anything! Pidge is the hack lord, Hunk is our chef and designated ball-of-sunshine, you are the fighter/hothead, Shiro's our leader, Allura is the political genius, Coran's our weird space uncle and me..? All I do is flirt, and joke, and annoy the hell out everybody. The only useful thing about me is my gun. And even that's mediocre. So don't stand there and lie to me!"

Keith blinked. None of things he said were true. Lance was incredible with gun. And sure he couldn't hack into a computer, or command armies, but he had a far more important job. Keeping the team together. And he did a fantastic job of that.

"Lance none of that is true," Keith said. "You are so important! How dare you put yourself down like that!"

Lance rolled his eyes. "Please, I'll talk about myself in whatever way I want to." then his voice took a darker tone, so different from the snarky voice he used seconds ago it snapped Keith out of his impulsive anger. "Not like anyone would care anyway."

Then Keith felt his anger come back. "I CARE!" Keith screamed. And in a brilliant moment of impulsive decisions, so impulsive, in fact, that it blew all other impulsive decisions out of the water, Keith pressed his lips against Lance's.

Lance let out a choked noise of surprise as he felt Keith's lips against his own. Then he kissed back with full force. It soon became a makeout session that they were both equally invested in. So invested, that they didn't hear the rest of the paladins walk into the control room where the whole thing went down.

Hunk and Shiro stared at them wide-eyed, their jaws wide open as they stared at the two rivals making out with each other passionately. Pidge snickered and snapped photos with the cool space camera Coran had given her.

But the tension from earlier was so thick, even the paladins could feel the sense of undeniable urgency in the room. Shiro came to his senses quickly. He shook his head and pulled the other two paladins out of the room, leaving Keith and Lance by their lonesome.

"But Shiro," Pidge complained, as she was dragged away. "I wanted to make fun of them!"

"No Pidge," Shiro gently commanded. He was older than Pidge and he knew 'heartbreak makeout sessions' when he saw one. The red and blue paladins were working through something, and they deserved some alone time as they did.

Shiro gently closed the door and left, the green and yellow paladins in tow. This time, Lance coherent enough to hear the click of the door. He opened his eyes briefly to see who had entered the room and was grateful to see no one there. This was private.

Keith reluctantly pulled away after what felt like an eternity. He stared into Lance's eyes and was proud to see how much he had got to Lance. His face was red and flushed and he looked at Keith with dazed eyes. Keith smiled lightly and pressed a light peck to his lips.

"Lance please," Keith whispered. He wanted it to sound forceful but it came out as a broken plea. "You are important. Never forget that."

"I don't know..." Lance smirked. "If I get that reaction out of you, I might think that way for a little longer." Keith smiled and hugged Lance tight.

"I'll give you kisses when you think correctly of yourself," Keith said.

"And how should I see myself as?" Lance asked.

"Perfect."
