Taro's past part 13

I barely managed to sit up after the beating Beerus gave me. Vegeta's energy output was overwhelming. His rage had boosted his power just above Goku.

"YOU BASTARD!" Vegeta screamed, rocketing at Beerus. He punched Vegeta square in the face, but he was unaffected. Goten and Trunks ran over, and we gently set Bulma down on a table. Vegeta countered Beerus' punch with a left hook and a kick to the face. While Beerus was stunned, Vegeta followed up with a right hook, then a left hook and a stomach punch. He screamed, kneeing the God of Destruction in the gut, causing him to slide backwards. As he slid, he tore the boards away from the deck. Vegeta rushed forward, knocking Beerus into the air. He then teleported behind him, knocking him into the ocean. As they flew, a huge spout of water flew into the air. While they were on the ocean floor, Dende healed my injuries. Beerus and Vegeta clashed again and again, so fast most of us couldn't see what was happening. Bulma woke up and rejoined the group as Vegeta fired multiple ki blasts at Beerus, creating a giant smoke cloud. When the dust cleared, the familiar purple energy of the Galick Gun surrounded Vegeta.

"It's your turn to be destroyed, Beerus!" Vegeta yelled, firing the Galick Gun. It hit the God head on, exploding on contact. More smoke was thrown in the air, obstructing our vision. When it cleared, Beerus was unphased. We stood flabbergasted at this.

"Was that really it? That really wasn't the power of a Super Saiyan God. That was child's play. With a blast that weak, it's clear you're no arch rival of mine." Beerus said coldly. Before any of us could react, Beerus struck Vegeta, knocking him out of Super Saiyan 2. He fell back down to the boat as Whis floated up to Beerus with a sampler platter in his hand. Beerus began charging a ki ball.

"This is the end of your story. Goodbye forever, Planet Earth." He said, aiming the ball at us.

"Stop right there!" A familiar voice yelled. Beerus stopped throwing the ball at us as we turned to see who saved us. Sure enough, standing on top of the ship's mast was Goku! He cautiously made his way down before landing right next to us. He stood up and faced Bulma.

"First off, happy birthday Bulma!" He said. Bulma appeared to get angry.

"There's more important things to do that wish me happy birthday!" She replied. Goku chuckled.

"I know! It's not enough! I promise I'll buy you something as soon as I get to a mall! And by the way, how old are you turning this year anyway?" Goku said. Bulma got angry again.

"My birthday and my age don't matter right now! Can't you see that huge blast above us right now!?" Bulma yelled. Goku chuckled again.

"Well well. Look who returned. With good news, I hope. Did you actually figure out who this Super Saiyan God is that I'm supposed to fight?" Beerus questioned. Goku turned towards him.

"Sorry Beerus, still no idea on that count. In the meantime, could you please not blow up the Earth?" He asked.

"I have to! Earth must be punished for wasting my precious time!" Beerus retorted. I then had an idea.

"Bulma, we have the Dragon Balls on board, right?" She nodded. Perfect!

"Lord Beerus, please give us some time! We'll ask Shenron if he knows!" I said. Beerus relented, dispersing the blast. Bulma brought out the Dragon Balls and laid them on the deck. I don't really know the words to summon Shenron, but I'll try.

"Eternal Dragon Shenron! By your name I summon you forth!" The balls began to glow as a beam on light shot into the air. The beam receded as Shenron emerged from it.

"I am the eternal dragon Shenron. I shall grant you any wish. Now speak." He boomed.

"Have you heard of a Super Saiyan God? And if so, can you summon them here?" I asked.

"I have heard of it, but I cannot grant that wish as one does not exist." He replied. I groaned.

"Well, can you tell us how to create one? Lord Beerus is going to destroy us otherwise." I said. Even though his expression didn't change, Shenron became frazzled.

"He's here!? THE Lord Beerus!? Pleased to meet you! I've heard things!" Beerus said nothing. Shenron continued with the story.

"Long ago, six pure hearted Saiyans questioned the evil committed by their race. The good Saiyans decided to lead a revolt against the bad, and to ensure victory, poured their energy into another to create a savior: a Super Saiyan God. The savior easily defeated the evil Saiyans with his immense power, but he then vanished as quickly as he came as the energy the Saiyans offered him could not last for long. In time, evil took root again on Planet Vegeta, and the memory of the Super Saiyan God became myth, nearly lost to time, but I still know how to summon one. Five pure hearted Saiyans must join hands and instil their inner light into another. With his friends energy flowing through him, this Saiyan shall become a Super Saiyan God. I have given you the knowledge you desire. Your wish has been granted." He said. He soon vanished into the sky as the Dragon Balls scattered around the world. I looked around at the others.

"I say Goku should become the Super Saiyan God. He's stronger than any of us." I said. Vegeta spluttered. "Vegeta, if you're going to complain, shut it. We don't have time to argue, and Goku's the best shot we have at living." Vegeta shut up instantly. We all joined hands, myself in between Goku and Vegeta. I directed the energy from myself, Vegeta and Gohan into Goku as we all turned Super Saiyan. Suddenly, Goku lifted into the air as blue flames covered him. He hovered for about thirty seconds before the flames vanished. Goku floated back down with red hair and eyes. He looked a little thinner too. I couldn't sense his energy at all. Goku and Beerus stared each other down. They floated in the air as the fight began. They quickly flew above the clouds, so we lost track of them. Instead of sitting there with our thumbs up our butts, we boarded a ship Bulma had on board for some reason and flew into the sky. After about ten minutes, we found out the result of the battle. Beerus floated back down with Goku unconscious under his arm. We all landed on the boat as Beerus dropped Goku.

"What did you do to Goku!?" I asked. Beerus sighed.

"Relax. He's just unconscious. He gave a good fight too. A promise is a promise. Earth is spared. Come on Whis. Let's go home." He replied. He grabbed Whis' shoulder and they both vanished. Without even realizing what just happened, we headed back to port immediately, wanting to get this day over with.
