Ash and his friends arrived at Join Avenue and participated in a yearly tournament that was held there, the yearly Battle Royal.
They meet Trip, Miette and Ellie again and hear about the fact that a woman named Palermo has brought something called "Pokemon Showcases" to Unova, which got Serena intrigued.
After learning that Trip is the same person who temporarily ruined Serena's life, Ash ties with him at the Battle Royal finals.
After a long and hard day in the Join Avenue Battle Royal, our heroes have arrived in Nimbasa City, where Ash hopes to win his 4th Unova Gym Badge. Unfortunately for him, they've arrived at nighttime. The Gym was already closed.
Because of that, they decided to take a rest at the local Pokemon Center, so Ash could have enough energy to beat the Gym tomorrow. However, before our heroes could tuck into bed for a cosy night's rest, they heard a scream coming from outside.
The 5 (including Meowth), quickly head down the Pokemon Center (still in their pajamas) to locate the source of the sound. As they got outside, they noticed that it was a girl.
