I run my fingers through my hair, harshly.
Get a hold of yourself.
He's not yours to protect.
He's not yours to be jealous over.
He's not yours to love.
He's not yours.
He isn't mine.
I don't have to protect him. I don't have to hug him when he's hurt.
My sadness is overcome by anger.
I came to his apartment in the middle of the night because I care about him so much. But, it's obvious he doesn't care about me.
Why am I even here?
The only reason I'm here is because Caleb broke up with him.
I was a replacement.
He just needed a replacement boyfriend. And he picked me.
I refuse to be used like this.
I refuse to be a replacement.
I'm just setting myself up to get my heart broken, and I can't do this to myself.
I wipe the tears off my cheek, and stand up. He's my best friend. How could he treat me like this? Like a replacement?
I hear them making up in his room, and the anger bubbles inside me even more. He can't even tell me what's going on?
What's going on with him? He was never like this. It was always me and him. I never came after a boyfriend. Until Caleb. Now, he cared about Caleb more than he cared about me.
And, I don't matter anymore.
I scribble a quick, angry note and leave his apartment.
I need to get out of here.

After finishing my conversation with Caleb, I walk out of my room to tell Tyler the good news.
"TY?" I call out, my voice echoing in the apartment.
"Ty?" I repeat, starting to look around.
Where is he?
"Tyle--?"
I stop my searching when I see a note on the kitchen table. He probably went to get groceries or get some more clothes from his house.
But then I read the letter.
And I feel like I got slapped in the face.
I guess you don't need me anymore.

ALSO, I CRIED WHILE WATCHING TY'S VIDEO AND TRXYE AND UGH IDK I FEEL LIKE A PROUD MOTHER.
