Chanyeol didn't pay much attention to whatever he was writing down. His attention was given to what she was writing and he noticed how all her messages were connected. How she was subtly hiting for help.
I've been crying every now and then but I hope you don't have your cheeks wet and smile as bright as the sun!
Getting only a few hours of sleep is tiring and at one point, coffee just doesn't help. So, try out green tea!
Letting negative thoughts take over is easy but remember that you're stronger than you believe!
Chanyeol could only smile as he sees her try to put out positivity for others despite how her world is filled with clouds of sadness. The more she wrote, the more she stopped centring herself in the notes. She didn't want to share the gloomy thunder she has.
"I was wondering," he spoke, as they were sticking their notes on a random table of a coffee shop. She turned to look at him while walking side by side, out from the shop.
He had hesitated to ask her the reason she cried on the sports day but he didn't want to open up another door of sad memories. He hummed a moment before gently asking, "Do you like the song the rain makes?"
"Not really a question I expected you to ask," she giggled, seeing how it was a sunny day and he seemed to be the kind to have an extremely bright personality. "Curiosity does get the best of me," he laughed along with her.
She stared at her feet as they took small steps, her mind trying to recall the sound of rain she always listens to whenever it rained and she was warmly covered up in her room.
"I do. It's sad, yes. It brings in a strong wave of heavyhearted feelings and closes you in its melancholy rhythm. But it also becomes the soft lullaby that lets you fall asleep with your heart a bit at ease."
"You seem to enjoy the rain from how you described it," Chanyeol smiled when she turned around to look at his expression as he was delighted to hear her answer.
"It's been my friend for a long time."
