Where to find Supplies

- Grocery Stores

You would be able to find most of the main supplies you are looking here. Maybe not weapons, and mainly food. 

- Deserted Houses- Depending if people have survied and cleared out their house before leaving

Depending if the people died before they got home and the house hasn't already been scavanged, you could find food, weapons, medical stuff and clothes

- Warehouses

Depending on the warehouse, you could probably find either food or weapons, and hay maybe even a car.

- Service Stations/ Gas Stations

You could find food and medical supplies here.

- Deserted Cars

Probably not much but bits and bobs in cars, maybe some crips or some old McDonalds depending on your circumstances.

- Farms

You would have hopefully harvested food or animals here that you can get food off. Farms also consits of houses so medical supplies and maybe guns because of the whole "get out of my chicken coop, ya damn fox." thing... or something like that. But most likely there will be a gun at a farm somewhere.

- Tuckshops or Cafertiaras at schools/Boarding Schools

You will find food. The chance's or finding weapons besides a good ol Tangled Frying pan are high though.

-Air ports

This is a good sugestion, if people are deat there you will find guns on guards, food and medical supplies, either inside of on the planes.

-Hunting Stores

You can probably find all sorts of weapons and traps here, unless the place has been looted arleady

-Boating/Camping/Fishing like BCF store, or Bass Pro in Alabama

You would be able to find all sorts of goods, weapons, and a lot of survival gear at places like this. An apocalypse is kinda like a really long campout, so it's to pitch your tent. You would also be able to get food... pretty good deal.

-Sport Supply Stores

You would be able to find camping supplies, survival gear, and weapons here, like sure you could kill someone with a gun, but hay you could also whack them with a cricket bat.

-Gun Stores

As long as they aren't looted out yet, Gun stores would be recomended too! Ya know... to get guns.
