Nothing (Tao)

"Baobei!" you heard your boyfriend call.

"Tao?" you weakly said.

"Hey." he kissed your forehead and sat on the stool next to your hospital bed.

You smiled softly at your boyfriend. Pain suddenly hit you.

"Mm." you said in pain but at the same time holding it.

Your boyfriend's forehead creased.

"Baobei. Are you alright?" he asked in a worried tone.

"I'm fine, jagi." you said in a tired voice.

You smiled at him again to let him know you're really okay.

"You sound weak." he said.

"I'm tired, baobei. I want to sleep for a very long time."

"Babe......"

"I'm dying, Tao." you slowly said.

Tears started dropping from his eyes.

"Hey. Don't cry. Uljimayo, oppa."

"You're leaving me." he said tightly.

"Tao."

"You're my everything, baobei. I'm nothing without you. Please don't leave me. Please."

"You know this would happen soon, Tao. Why not now?"

"You're NOT dying on me. YOU'RE NOT DYING ON ME."

He started sobbing and you patted his head.

"Sorry, my baby. I'm sorry." you cried.

"Why are you sorry, _____?"

"I'm not strong enough." you croaked. "I'm sorry."

You started coughing and you can feel yourself slipping away from the real world.

"I'll watch over you, Tao. I'll make sure you'll be something. You'll be something great, babe. I promise."

He nodded and held your hand tighter.

"Uljima........."

---3 years later---

I told you, Tao. You'll be something great. With me looking after you, you'll never be nothing.

_____. Thank you for making sure I'll never be nothing. Thank you for making me something. Thank you for guiding me. Thank you and I love you. I'll make sure what you did for me won't be all for nothing.
