A/N: I absolutely love reading comments. I do want to clear out that Emily was adopted by McGonagall by the age of 9, so babysitting by Snape didn't necessarily require an actual infant and a baby bottle – however, I do like the idea that he spiked the kid's drink with sleeping potion, let's keep that! (Thank you, @Hellomychild123 )
"So, that's the last of Thomas, then?" Emily asked, carefully walking on eggshells over the news of Ginny's break-up with Dean Thomas. Truthfully, she had never liked Dean for Ginny. He was far too prideful, a quality Emily found to be annoying.
"Oh, definitely." Ginny hurriedly answered with a bite of buttered toast, she shook her head and grimaced. "I'm actually relieved to have broken ties... Is that a bad thing?" Upon hearing this, fresh air filled Emily's lungs, causing a smile to dawn on her face. "You made the right call. And hey, I'm here for you. Whatever you need – "
"What I need is information," The youngest Weasley interjected with a raised eyebrow, "What's up with you and Malfoy? I don't feel ice in your veins right now, something must have happened – Oh, Merlin – Wipe that stupid grin on your face and bloody tell me already."
For good measure, Emily whispered the events that had unfolded directly into Ginny's ear. From gifting her share of the Felix Felicis up to the unbreakable vow, she had spilled every dear secret to one of the few people she trusted most. Once Emily returned to her seat, she experienced the joy of seeing Ginny in pure shock. Her bright brown eyes possessed this almost magical sparkle and her smile was broad enough for everyone to not miss seeing it.
"You dog! So much has happened... Does Harry know?"
Huh, funny you should mention him. "Speaking of my brother, how are you getting along with him?"
Ginny shrugged, a smile still dawning on her rosy face, "Pretty good. We just had the best Quidditch practice in a long while. Now that Katie's back, Dean doesn't have to be on the team anymore which is a relief – Katie is quite better and not to mention she's a great sportswoman. Everything's been great lately. Why'd you ask?"
Emily shook her head, finishing her mug of coffee, "Oh, no reason."
"Shall I take your conversational detour as a sign that your brother has no idea that you're madly in love with his nemesis?"
"Oh, he knows that I love him," Emily reassured, "He just doesn't know that we're together again."
Ginny's gaze averted to the scene behind Emily, her lips parting slightly. "Are you sure about that?" The Potter twin turned around and saw Harry almost chasing Draco in the middle of the Great Hall. Emily frowned, "Well, he's not so ashamed of his obsession anymore."
"I'd say he's gotten brazen." Ginny joked.
Yeah, I'm starting to think he's more into my boyfriend than he is into you.
"Yeah, I'll go see what's going on with them." Emily said quickly. Ginny nodded and excused her, "That's not a bad idea."

Outside the bathroom, he pressed his ear against the door. He could not hear anything. He very quietly pushed the door open. Draco Malfoy was standing with his back to the door, his hands clutching either side of the sink, his white-blond head bowed.
"Don't," crooned Moaning Myrtle's voice from one of the cubicles. "Don't . . . tell me what's wrong. I can help you..."
"He's going to kill me," said Malfoy. His whole body was shaking. "I can't do it. I can't... It won't work... And unless I do it soon, he says he'll kill me... I can't betray her, not again... Not ever."
