The fly in the direction of Shigeru's grannies was heavily silent, and without Shigeru who was still past out like a baby, to guide them there, they have no clue where they were actually going. They have been flying for around half an hour and neither she or Haku have spoken a word...Haku just focused on flying and she just...couldnt, her heart still wept for her precious friend, also feeling a sense of self-loathing. She knows it's not her fault technically but she was indeed part of the race that practically killed him. Seeing this side of things now she regrets every time she littered without a care for the environment...the human race are murderers and very little people know of it apart from those environmental activists the ones that tie themselves to trees and protest against environmental issues. Suddenly Shigeru began to squirm from under her and whimpered, she sighs.

'Haku...we should rest for a while...besides without Shigeru we have no idea where we are going... let's make camp...'she thinks to him as she pats the side of his body his scales cool to the touch but yet a strange sense of warmth emanates from the body underneath them.

Haku gives a slight nod and starts to descend towards the outskirts of a forest where a small farm resided, Haku flew and snuck us into what seems to be a barn , it wasn't big but was big enough for us to temporarily rest comfortably in, bags of fertilizer stacked against the left wall gave it a bit of an odour but it definitely beats the smell of decay. Getting off his serpentine body she helps Shigeru off and lays him on some hay that was in a heap in the corner of one of the empty stalls, once she made sure he was comfortable she sighs and leans against the wall next to him watching the poor fox toss and turn in his sleep, she didn't even notice Haku transform into his human form to sit next to her until she felt his hand on hers squeezing it softly as if to comfort her.

"Do you think he will be okay?..." she asks him her eyes never straying from Shigeru until Haku turned her head softly to look at him, then caresses her cheek wiping away stray tears that she didn't even know she had and looking at her with sad eyes.

"I don't know...all spirits take it differently...some learn to cope, and some don't, some even go evil or mad...but don't worry no matter how he takes it I will protect you..." he says to her kissing her forehead then says nothing else, he just holds her in his arms letting silence take over, as he strokes and plays with her long hair softly, she hides her face in the crook of his neck and they wait.

Shigeru P.O.V

Shigeru's eyes flutter open to see the sunlight shine through the canopies of the tree's, in his fox form he begins to stretch his legs and slowly gets up and shakes a bit to get the dirt out of his fur. It was a peaceful day in his forest and through his paws, he could feel it radiate with life, he can sense every bush, every tree and every scuttering creature including his best friend Kisha who was attempting to pounce on him from behind, when she pounced he just sidestepped and watched in amusement as the young wolf spirit face planted to the ground and whined.

"Damn it! I totally thought I finally had you that time!" she whines to him.

Shigeru chuckled turning back into his human form "just give it up Kisha, its impossible to get me on my own turf ha! The day you take me by surprise is the day I lose my forest".

However as soon as he said that everything around him changed, the trees began to die at a rapid pace and flowers began to wilt as dead birds fell from the sky, his heart couldn't take it, as pain rushed through his body every time he felt something die...he wails as he fell to his knees and clutched his chest as he felt his very being slip away from him, he was in utter terror. Panicking he looks around for Kisha but she was nowhere to be seen as a toxic fog fills the area suddenly there was a feral growl and behind him There was Kisha looking at him frothing at the mouth looking like she was out for his blood, suddenly she threw up blood and then lunged for him her decaying body pouncing over him, he closed his eyes as he was about to meet his end until suddenly he heard a voice...
