The young man felt the blast rip through his side. He cried out as tears of pain and betrayal filled his eyes. He fell to his knees and dropped his comrade. All he could do was watch as his injured friend lay there limply. He heard footsteps and looked up to see the one he had trusted for so long. He gripped the wound on his side and moved as much as he could in front of his friend. He had to protect her from anymore harm.

"L... Lance..." she rasped weakly and slowly opened her eyes. He looked at her and smiled a little.

"It's... it's alright Pidge.... close your eyes and go to sleep... we'll be okay." He said with his cocky but pained smirk.

She grunted weakly and closed her eyes again. He didn't want her to be in anymore pain or see what would happen next. He turned to the shooter and looked at him as tears fell down his face.

"Don't do this... please." He begged as the man raised his gun and cocked it. "Shiro snap out of it! Please!" He shouted the-

"How could you? How could you?! He wasn't even armed!" She screamed at him. Optimus stared at Megatron as the woman held on to her father. The officer slowly lowered the gun as he simply watched.
