Chapter 5: Promises

Kaci's POV

Jax came to the door and I slammed it in his face, Sadly he had a key so he opened it and chased me upstairs

"Kaci!" Jax said 

I was already on the bed laying down breathing heavy and he was pacing with hands on his face

"Kaci I don't wanna fight anymore its getting old." he said laying down with me

"I know lets fix this." I said sitting up hugging my knees to my chest

"Alright I promise I wont cheat on you, leave you and will always protect you as long as I live." He said hugging me

"I promise all those words you said." I said and he laughed

"But." he said

"But? Theres no but, you promised." 

"I can't just take girls out of the gang cause you don't like them and I cant help if they like me." he said cocky like

"Then I cant help if boys stare at me." I said with a hair flip

"Alright then." he laughed, his laugh was amazing is that weird? wait I don't care I don't know why I asked

I decided tackle Jax on our bed with me straddling him his hands went up and down my thighs, I was just about to kiss him but his phone buzzed

"I have to take this." he said picking me up and putting me next to him 

He scooted up to the headboard and rested there and took the phone call, 

Did you really think I was just gonna sit here? heh well you were wrong never judge a book by its cover

I crawled towards him and placed my hand on his chest 

"Hey dad." He said glaring at me

I planted multiple kisses on his cheek and he flushed crimson

"Yeah I'm still coming just not right now." he said looking really uncomfortable 

I put my ear to the phone but I didn't need to his father was yelling so I grabbed the phone

"Excuse me, don't you ever yell at my boyfriend like that have you lost your mind?" I said into the phone getting up and running cause Jax was not gonna happy about this

"Miss who are you?" The voice asked a bit intrigued

"Oh just your average gang girl." I said running in the kitchen

"Hey freeze!" Kat said everyone was in the kitchen

"Is that Jax's phone?" Jane asked

"Yes." I said

"Who is she talking to?" Adam asked

'My father' Jax mouthed

"Get her!" Anthony yelled 

So I ran even faster until they finally got me, well tackled me thanks Anthony

"Yeah hey dad." Jax said taking the phone

"You all are traitors." I said rolling on my back

"Kaci get up we need to talk." Adam said

We all walked to a secret room which I had no idea about and had a seat at the table, It was dark

"We all have noticed something." Kat started

"This gang isn't what it used to be," Ashton said

"He doesn't go to office, we don't do our drug money collections and we haven't been doing our jobs." Adam said

"I need to get paid cause heh I don't work for free." Kat said

"So your saying its my fault?" I questioned

"Weeeelllll it basically is." Jane said

"Okay yes I kind of admit this is my fault and I wanna get paid and wait we get paid?!"

"We get paid you don't hah." Lauren laughed

"Anyway." I said "What do I do."

"Show him that your ready for "gang stuff" the real stuff." Anthony said

"Ask him about shooting guns and our drug deals." Mia contributed which wasn't asked for

"Thanks." I said rolling my eyes

'play nice' Adam mouthed

"Hey what are you guys doing." Jax said coming down the stairs he put an arm around my neck

"Talking."

"Why not upstairs?" he asked

"Don't worry about it," I said "And what did your dad want?"

"To meet you." he said blankly "Remember?"

(All the way back in chapter 2)

"Fine," I sighed getting up and me and Jax walked out

I went upstairs and got dressed might as well look good for my future father in law

Mia's POV

I went upstairs to go talk to Jane and Chanel

"Hey what did you need?" Jane asked 

The others had gone somewhere, I was in the middle of them two

Pulled out my knife and held it to their necks

"Now listen to me carefully, I am working with Pacifica North to kill Kaci." I said slowly "You two are gonna help me, and if you tell Jax your dead before I am."

"Clear?"

They nodded
