Chapter 7

~*The Next day*~

*3rd person POV*

Everyone noticed the tension between Y/N and Ginoza, all of them having silent questions in their eyes, but none asked what was on their mind. Inspector Tsunemori was sick that day, so when the other 2 were immersed in their work the other Enforcer's went to Shion's lab. Kagari immediately asked Shion' to check the security camera's in the conference room. Who obliged after muttering about extra work when she already had enough to do. "What are you looking for?" Shion asked. "I'm not sure but I think something happened between Y/N and Ginoza last night while the rest of us were eating in the cafeteria" Kagari answered.

Shion pulled up the footage and then began to search through the footage. Her red lips parting into a smile as she said "Oh what do we have here?" Everyone surrounded her desk as their eyes widened at the sight before them. There on the biggest screen Shion owned showed both Ginoza and Y/N in the middle of a heated make out session that had been started by none other than their beloved Inspector Ginoza. They watched as the session ended with Y/N glaring at the Inspector. "What's she saying?" asked Masaoka.

Shion turned a dial and suddenly they caught the end of Y/N's sentence "Keep your hands and your desires to yourself Inspector or I'll report you to the Chief." Then they watched her walk away. All was silent before Kogami demanded "Go back to where they kissed." "Pervert much Shinya?" Shion teased as she did as she was asked. "And what are we looking for exactly?"

Kagari asked. "Y/N's hue and crime rate rises at the same time Ginoza's lowers" Kogami explained. "I still don't see it" Kunizuka said watching closely. "Shion flip between before they kissed to after they kissed. Do you see the difference now? It's Y/N she's been lowering our crime rates and our hues. I'm not exactly sure how she's doing it but I'm sure it's her" Kogami said.

Immediately the others had no choice to agree and Masaoka said "Shion call Inspector Ginoza and Y/N down. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for all of this. If Y/N decides to explain it to us that is." About 20 minutes later the both of them entered, with a considerable amount of distance between them. Immediately Y/N's arm was grabbed by Kogami as he forced her to sit on the couch Shion had in the lab. "I'd like to hear your explanation" Kogami said as he looked down at her. "For what?" Y/N asked blandly.

"Why you didn't tell us that it was you who lowered our rates and hues" he replied as he crossed his arms. The h/c female raised a brow before saying "An explanation isn't really necessary by the look on your face. So obviously you called me down here for no reason other than to interrupt my work." "Can you tell us how it works?" he asked. "I could but I won't" she replied. Kogami glared down at her before saying "I believe that an explanation is required." She looked up at him through her lashes as she said "I don't believe it is. Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do. Call me when something really important comes up."

She stood and was almost out the door when Ginoza spoke "I'm guessing that your hue is so pure that it draws out small amounts of the bad and replaces them with good, similar to the process to replacing Anna's memories. I'm also guessing that done enough times a person's hue will return to normal and their rates will also return to normal. It works through the touching of skin does it not?" She looked up and met everyone's gaze before shrugging and leaving the room. Ginoza sent a cold glare in the direction she left before following her out the room.

A few days later Tsunemori gave them the physical evidence necessary to find the killer's name, and revealed that the man they were looking for was Asatake Mido who was in charge of not just one or two avatars but a total of three. It was the avatar Blue Melancholia that ended up providing the evidence they needed to catch the killer. Eventually Mido was caught and killed, as things ended up returning to normal minus the tension between Y/N and Ginoza.
