Finally. A lazy day, I thought as Stan, Dipper, Mabel and I sat in the shop on a Tuesday morning. Stan had put a sign up that said "Temporarily CLOSED For Repair" outside the shop after the incident with the agents on Saturday, so now we were making the most of our free time. And by that I mean just sitting around doing basically doing nothing. Stan sat on a barrel, reading the newspaper, Mabel lay on her back with a cheese boodles bag on her face, Dipper next to me on the floor, reading journal #2, and myself having my head on Dipper's shoulder, reading the journal as well. Since my arm was still recovering from Saturday, it was still in the sling so it made holding books a struggle.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mabel blow the cheese boodles bag off her face, which was covered in cheese dust, a smile across her face. "I just ate a bag of cheese boodles without using my hands," Mabel said proudly as the bag gently flew down to the ground. "Lazy Tuesday, you are delivering in a big way!"

"Heh, yeah," Stan agreed. "It's nice to finally have a day where nothing interesting happens whatsoever."

And, just like that, the peace was gone. As soon as Stan finished his sentence, the vending machine burst open to reveal Ford with a green, one-eyed, octopus-like creature around his wrist, almost attacking him. The twins and I screamed in terror at the sight of it. "Get down! Don't let it taste human flesh!" Ford shouted to us in warning. Ford punched the creature and sent what I'm guessing was an electric shock through it by the gloves he was wearing.

The creature dropped from Ford's wrist and started crawling around the shop. As it came near Dipper and I, we both jumped out of the way of it. Dipper hoisted himself up onto the rack of maps while I hovered in air to get away from it. I was not about to get hurt again at the hands of Ford. "What is it?!" Dipper exclaimed as the creature lost interest in us, crawling over to Mabel.

"Can we keep it?" Mabel asked hopefully, holding her hands together.

The creature went past her and climbed up the counter. Stan rolled up his newspaper and started hitting it as he yelled, "Kill it! Kill it!"

Ford jumped over the counter, chasing after creature at fast pace. The creature jumped around by sticking it's tentacles to the walls and ceiling, knocking over boxes in attempts to get away from Ford. From there, the creature was hidden from all views except Ford's. "Patience..." Ford muttered as he inched closer to the creature, his hands up and ready. "And..." The creature hissed as Ford got closer to it. "Gotcha!" Ford knelt forward, shocking the creature. I cringed at the sound of the creature shrieking in pain. Surprisingly, my ears were still slightly sensitive from Saturday's events. Ford kept shocking the creature until the smell of burnt calamari or something filled the air. He then stood up, holding the burnt creature by a tentacle, a happy grin on Ford's face.

Stan, however, was none-too-pleased at the sight of Ford or the creature in the shack. "Great. Now get it outta here," Stan grumbled as he pointed to the vending machine. "It smells like if death could barf." Ford stalked right past him, holding his head high and not looking at him.

"Great Uncle Ford!" Dipper exclaimed from right next to me, making me jump a bit. Dipper bolted over to his uncle, waving journal 2 high in the air and a wide grin on his face. "You need any help with that?" He opened the journal, flipping through pages quickly till he landed on a page with the creature. He held up the journal to Ford and started speaking excitedly. "I've read all about these creatures in your journal, and I think I know how to-"

"No," Ford cut Dipper off, holding a hand up. "I'm sorry, Dipper, but the dark weird road I travel, I'm afraid you cannot follow." With every word, Dipper's wide grin slowly faded to a disappointed frown. "Well, call me for dinner!" Ford pressed a button of his wrist and closed the vending machine behind him.
