Chapter 14

Time Skip six years

Not much changed over the next six years.. But I did finally get taller and true to my word Kakashi now had to lean his chin on my shoulder instead of my head when he stood behind me. Kakashi, Tenzo and I went on missions together for Lord Third and we were one of the best Anbu squads in the whole Village. Kakashi started to take me on dates every time we finished a mission because we had at least a day off between them.. After about two years we moved out of our appartment and bought a house that had two more bedrooms and a bigger kitchen. When we weren't on missions we would often train together with Tenzo and Kakashi would teach me some of his jutsu that he had copied over the years... but of course no matter how hard I tried I couldn't recreate the one jutsu he had made himself.. Chidori. Lightning was the only nature type I could not use no matter how hard I tried. So instead I worked with my own special ability of chakra manipulation and found that it was most powerful when used as a barrier or wall to protect against enemy attacks. I also trained in my medical ninjutsu and with the chakra control I achieved I became a huge asset on missions. Stories about the Copycat ninja and the Gold Spark were told around all the great shinobi villages and we were both placed high in the bingo book. Naruto moved into his own apartment and started at the academy but my time with him was still monitored and restricted. Our squad got a new member about a year ago... Itachi Uchiha who I had met a few times when he was younger while I was spending time with Kushina. When he told me he had a little brother I made a point to ask Sasuke about him and he seemed to only show a smile when talking about his baby brother.

Sayuri's Pov:

"Just a side note.. Yes I know they are supposed to have code names on missions as members of the Anbu but that is a lot of work and it will just make the whole story more confusing)

Tenzo and I were sent on a mission together while Itachi and Kakashi took the day off.. But tomorrow Tenzo and I would have the day off and Kakashi would work with Itachi. It was pouring rain and we were tracking down a few rogue ninjas that were in the Land of Fire that had been attacking innocent people. Tenzo was leading the way while I was keeping a lookout behind. Suddenly I heard the sound of a kunai splitting through air

"Tenzo!" I yelled as I moved in front of him and made a shield of chakra to deflect the kunai that would have gone straight through his forehead. We both dropped to the ground and got into a defensive position with our backs against each other as seven rogue ninja surrounded us. I inwardly groaned sensing all of their chakra levels and made hand signs for a fireball jutsu that I shot at the four in front of me.

"A young lady with a body like yours shouldn't be out playing ninja. How about you take that mask off and show us your pretty little face" One of the men sneered at me and I straightened up with a little smile that he couldn't see. I pulled out one of my Flying Raijin kunai and threw it at lightning speed sinking deeply into his throat before he even had a chance to blink. I teleported to the kunai in the man's neck and crouched over his body

"Sweetie I eat shinobi like you for breakfast" I said as I pulled the kunai out and jumped up punching the man next to me in the jaw before slicing his neck quickly with my other hand. A shooting pain shot through my shoulder and I quickly looked to see a kunai plunged in it. I whipped my head around and grabbed his arm that had still been holding the kunai. I pulled my body up and wrapped my legs around his neck and twisted my body so his neck snapped as I landed gracefully on my feet and threw my kunai into the fourth man's chest killing him before he hit the ground. I walked over and pulled out my kunai wiping it on the man's shirt as I glanced at Tenzo who was just finishing up with his battle. When my kunai was sufficiently clean I slipped it back into my kunai pouch and walked to Tenzo

"Glad we got such an easy group that could have been a lot worse if they were better trained" I said as I glanced around.

"Yeah.. and since it was just the two of us we get two days off" Tenzo said cheerfully and I smiled. After we cleaned up our mess we made our way through the pouring rain to the village. When we got to the gates I turned to Tenzo and opened my mouth but he beat me to it
