Poppy's POV;
I found a bunch of logs piled up. There were coals surrounding them still flaming orange. I growl. "(Y/N) you're in sooooo much trouble." I smoothed the ashes with my foot. Then I examined my hand. It was becoming wrinkly again. I took a strand of my hair. It was being coated with a light shade of grey. I'd better find her fast before I grow to old and weak. I took off slashing through all the branches. They've got to be heading to Perenia. I can't let the king or queen see her or I'm doomed.
Your POV;
"Branch what are you doing?" He turned me around swiftly so my back was pressing up against his chest. "Hold still." He commanded. He covered my eyes with both of his hands. I grew nervous and started to blush like crazy. "Walk forward." He said simply nudging my leg with his knee. I obeyed and walked blindly through the woods. I shut eyes under his cupped palms. He's obviously trying to surprise me. "Stop." He said with a bold tone that sent chills down my spine. I gasped. He released his hands from my face. "Now, open your eyes." He finished. I did so and all that took place in my vision was a beautiful castle that seemed to be purple with a giant flower vine growing on the side of it. Below the castle there was a little village, people were visible. I could hear voices loud and quiet, deep and high. I could hear children laughing, babies crying, and tons of different animals from cats to horses. Behind the castle there was a sea, sparkling from the twelve o'clock sun. There were boats that looked like pirate ships. It was majestic. "Branch..." I said breathlessly. "It's beautiful isn't it." Branch said still lingering behind me. "Yes.." I turned facing him. "When the princess was stolen the kingdom was twice as lively as this, the sun would shine brighter, and it wouldn't smell like fire in the air, it would smell like roses." Branch said looking back at the forest. "That's horrible...I wish we could find her." I said reassuringly. There was silence between us. I broke the ice and walk towards him. Before he could meet my (e/c) eyes I took his hand and pulled him to the bridge where the forest met the castle. "C'mon Branch!" Branch yelped a bit as I grabbed him. "Ah! (Y/N)! Stop I don't belong here!" He yanked his hand out of mine and stepped back from me. "Branch-No (Y/N)! I'm not going in there!" He said viciously cutting me off. I lost control. "Why are you so scared?!" I yell at him. "Because the royal guard killed my mother!!" He snapped at me. In that instant a big fat tear slid down his grey cheek. I softened and my face grew in shock. "Branch- After the princess disappeared this kingdom was never the same... they mistreated the peasants like me and my family....my mom would sneak food out of the market to feed the children from the orphanage. Someone snitched to the royal guard and they had my mom hung for theft...right in front of my father and I....we moved to the forest...and never came back." I stayed silent as Branch cried silently and stared at the floor. "I'm sorry Branch...can we go back to my tower now and forget any of this ever happened?" He didn't answer. I tensed and my palms sweat as I walk up to him. I grabbed his chin facing his face up and kissed his lips. He jumped and I blushed immensely. I've been wanting to do this for so long, his depression needs to leave him. I could tell under my eye lids that Branch's eyes were wide open. He slowly began to kiss me back. Then he pulled away and lunged at me embracing me tightly. "No ones going anywhere...ever." Branch whispered inside my ear.
