#14 Menu

Branch's POV;

(Y/N) has been staring out the window for a while now and she hasn't said a word.

"(Y/N)?" I said trying to draw her attention. She looked at me as if she had snapped out of a trance.

"Yes?" She said and smiled a little.

"You alright?" I asked her.

"I'm fine...just worried about stuff...like what if my mom comes back to the tower and doesn't see me there?" She said resting her head on her hand.

"You'll be fine." I smiled reassuringly. "And besides what could be important enough for her to walk her butt all the way back?" She shrugged her shoulders.

"Well maybe it is just all in my head." She said with her smile returning to normal. There was a pause between us for a minute or two.

"What are you gonna get?" I spill out while looking at the menu.

"Oh! Omg I'm so happy they have my (f/f)! I'm getting it! It looks so good." She said lighting up. Good job Branch. I thought to myself for I had struck a nice conversation.

"I'm getting the warm, cheesy, Alfredo they have here, it's my favorite." I smiled and looked at the picture of it on the menu, it was making me drool.

"Hey guys! I'm back." I turned to see that bright waitress with a notepad. "You guys have any ideas yet?"

"I'm going with the Alfredo."

"Would you like garlic bread with that?"

"Yes please." I concluded.

"And what can I get for you?" She beaming at (Y/N).

"Um...I'll have the (f/f)." She said shyly.

"Can you repeat that sweetie?" The waitress said kindly.

"She'll take (f/f)." I said protecting her.

"Okay, your food will be ready soon." She said and walked into the kitchen.

"Why couldn't she hear me? (Y/N) asks me frustratedly. "I was loud and clear."

"You were a little quiet (Y/N)." I said nicely. "But don't let that bother you, it's the first time you've eaten out, you're doing fine." She smiled once again.

"Thanks Branch." She said with the smile returning.
