Today majorly sucked after attempting to save Jo from doing the merge with Kai. Luke took her place and was now dead. Olivia lost her twin and bestfriend while Kai had won.
You couldn't stop yourself from feeling relieved when Kai came out unscathed from the battlefield. You knew it was wrong to possess feelings for the bad guy but the heart wants what it wants right?.
You swing open the door of your apartment and switch on the lights. Before stepping inside.You shrug your varsity jacket off and pull down the black sleeves of your white number '17' tee.
Running a hand through your hair. You close the door behind you and lock it. You take lazy steps to your room and flop down on the bed. Your face squashed in the comforts of your lilac duvet cover. ʻʻLong day. Huh?.ʼʼ
You 'hmm' a response. The owner of the voice takes a seat on the bed and lightly taps your leg. You shake it off. Great now I got that song stuck in my head.
You remove yourself from the covers and sit upright next to him. A sigh escapes the confines of your lips. ʻʻWhat do you want, Kai?.ʼʼ Involuntarily you look into his broken yet beautiful brown eyes and for a moment you just want to lay your head on his shoulder. His scent of lavender fills your senses begging you to give into his touch. You force your eyes open and remove his hand from your cheek. ʻʻDon't, Kai.ʼʼ
He stares at you for a minute before smiling. ʻʻSo,I didn't die that's good right? I mean I knew my chances of survival were high but that would have sucked if I did die. You know what I mean? but death would be better then the prison world.ʼʼ Kai laughs.
ʻʻSorry,am I being that guy who talks non-stop? Gosh I hate that guy. Did I ever tell you about how I murdered someone with a set of earphones only?. He was all like chocking and I just tugged harder and then he died come to think of it. It was actually sad..ʼʼ He trails off from his rambling.
ʻʻSad is an emotion right? Why am I feeling feelings? Haha that rhymed. As a sociopath I'm not supposed to be burdened by these emotions. Then why do I feel a little guilt for Luke's death?ʼʼ

ʻʻOh right! I got you something.ʼʼ He pulls out a rose. Kai looks down at the crumpled flower and bites his lip ʻʻoops!.ʼʼ You laugh at the cute gesture and take the pretty rose from him.ʻʻThank you.ʼʼ
ʻʻTo answer your question. I wanted to see you. So here I am. I know you was worried about me when the merge occurred. Don't try to deny it.ʼʼ Kai states in a matter of fact tone.
ʻʻCan we do this in the morning tho? I'm so tired,Kai.ʼʼ
He nods ʻʻOkay let's sleep.ʼʼ Kai wiggles his brows suggestively.
You slap his arm and chuckle ʻʻSsh Parker. Now get out and goodnight.ʼʼ You try to push him out of your room.
ʻʻFine I'll go. Dream of the devils.ʼʼ He tells you with a glint in his eyes.
ʻʻSureee. I'll call you tomorrow. Goodnight,Kai.ʼʼ

You catch his arm before he can leave making Kai look at you. You tug on your bottom lip ʻʻFor what it's worth I'm glad you are okay.ʼʼ
Kai,smiles ʻʻMe too.ʼʼ He kisses your cheek before leaving, closing the door behind him.
