You stood outside HQ and watched the rain pour down outside, wondering how you were going to get home. You didn't have an umbrella or a rain coat and you usually walked home. You were stuck in a bit of pickle here. You thought about doing a runner and putting your jacket over your bag so your laptop wouldn't get wet when you heard an umbrella pop open behind you.

You turned to see L, the one you worked under holding an umbrella out to you. You looked at the handle and them up at him. He was smiling, a man that came off as so emotionless was smiling at you. You stretched out a hand to took the umbrella from him, staring into his eyes for a moment.

Suddenly you heard the umbrella click and it closed on your head, you heard L start to laugh as you pulled the umbrella back up again, laughing yourself at your bad luck. Once the laughing died down, he smiled at you and said three simple words.

"See you tomorrow"

He walked past you and down the stairs, toward his fancy car where Watari waited for him. You had to thank him first!

You grabbed his arm as he took a step down the stairs.

"Wait!"

He turned to face you and smiled again. You held the umbrella over the both of you and looked shyly at your feet.

"Thank you..."

"It's no problem (y/n)" he said.

"I- um, you see... uh, can I keep this?" You said.

"Sure"

Ok, yes you needed an umbrella, but you mainly wanted it because it was L's umbrella, and you had the biggest crush on L.

You let go of his hand gently and let his turn to walk away, you watched as he walked down the steps and over to the car where he opened the door, as soon as he did, he paused and quickly turned around, dashing over to you and planting a kiss on your lips. You were shocked at the sudden action but melted into the kiss happily. He pulled away and took a step back with pink cheeks.

"See you tomorrow"

With that he turned and walked back to the car.

"Uh-huh, see you tomo- tomor- oh why am I stammering?"

He smiled at you and closed the door, you watched him drive off down the road with a smile on your face.
