Worlds collide

You were sitting in your bed, scrolling through Pinterest and looking at shirtless pictures of L screaming every time. When your laptop died, you grabbed your L body pillow and squeezed it as tight as you could.

"How can someone be so cute... AND HOT AT THE SAME TIME!" You yelled.

It was a damn good thing you lived alone, and in a pretty remote place too. You laid down next to your body pillow, you actually had two L body pillows, one had him in his normal clothes and one had him in a suit, on the other side of the suit one, it was less innocent, he had his shirt unbuttoned, his boxers showing and he was winking at whoever looked at it.

You started up at your Death Note poster on the roof and decided to get up and get some food. You walked out of your room and into the kitchen where you got a cookie and shoved it in your mouth. Suddenly you tipped over something, you sat up and rubbed your head, that's when you noticed a faint red thing tied around your pinky finger.

"What the?" You said to yourself. It was a string, and it was getting brighter by every second. You stood up and followed the string, not caring about your Death Note pjs with the L logo all over the shorts. The string went out the front door and down into your huge garden. You followed it down the path when you saw that the string ended behind your trampoline. You followed the string and what you saw tied at the other end almost made you have a heart attack.

A boy, he looked about your age passed out in the grass with the other end of the string tied to his pinky finger. There was a price of paper in his hand, you picked it up but it had nothing on it.

"Looks like your crush is real" a voice behind you said.

You jumped and turned around, there stood the apple eating shinigami you knew all too well.

"Ryuk? What the- I have to be dreaming" you said.

"You touched a price of the Death Note so now you can see me, let me explain some timey wimey stuff here. So I've been watching your world and the world of Death Note for a while now. And once Light killed L I decided to take him out of the after life and dump him here"

"Why?" You asked.

"Because I'm bored"

You face palmed. The exact same excuse for the Death Note.

"What about the string?" You asked.

"If a shinigami wants to put someone into another realm, they have to be put with their soulmate form that world. The red string is what connects you two once he wakes up and you touch, the string will disappear and you will feel infinite love for each other. I leave all this love crap to you humans" Ryuk explained.

"So that actually L?!"

He nodded.

You screamed a blood curdling scream which surprisingly didn't wake L up.

"THANK YOU THANK YOU!" You yelled.

"I just want to see how this plays out" he said.

"Wait here!" You said.

You ran off into another part of the garden, grabbing a bucket on the way, you filled it with apples and bough it back to the shinigami who instantly took them.

"That's my way of saying thank you" you said.

"Well I'll leave you two, thanks for the apples" he said and flew off back to his world.

You jumped around in joy and dropped down next to L. He looked so cute and peaceful when he slept. You picked him up and bought him into your house, you placed him down on your bed and pulled the blankets over him. You ran out of the room and bought your jar of candy into your room and put it by your bed. You kicked the body pillows under your bed and sat down on a chair next to the bed. You took his hand in yours and smiled.

"Looks like we can finally be together sweetie" you said.

It didn't take that long for him to wake up. He stirred around for a bit and made the effort to sit up and rub his head. The second he opened his eyes, he saw the red string and looked up at you.

"Hey sweetie" you said.

And with those worlds, the red string broke into a million red sparks.

"Are you ok?" You asked, not letting go of his hand.

"Where am I?" He asked.

"You're not in Kiras world anymore you're in a much better place"

"I'm dead?"

You nodded and leant in to hug him, he didn't fight it, he just hugged back.

"Was it Kira?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm so sorry"

"I knew it was going to happen, I'm just confused and sore" he said.

You broke the hug and took his hands on yours.

"My names (y/n), you're in a world where you existed in an anime, Lights shinigami bought you here after you died because he though it would be better for you and he was bored and just wanted to do it. That red string you saw attached to both of our fingers means we're soulmates, when you came into this world, you were automatically attached to me by that string. So all I can really say is... Lawliet, you are my soulmate and I am yours" you explained.

L didn't say anything as he processed this, then all at once, he launched himself at you and wrapped his arms around you as you both fell onto the floor.

"It feels so nice to be loved..."
