Tonight was the Annual Ball hosted by their very own mayor. He insisted that the Titans from all over came to the Ball as a sign of thank you for protecting the world. The theme this year was a masquerade. Speedy was in his room, slipping his tux on.

Someone banged on his door, "Roy! Hurry up! We're gonna be late!" BumbleBee screamed, before walking away. Speedy grabbed his mask and walked out of his room and made his way to the common room to see his teammates, patiently waiting for him.

"About time. Let's go." BumbleBee said as they all made their to their ship. They each got into their pods and flew off to Central Hall. They all got out the ship and made their way to the entrance.

Leading to the entrance was a red carpet and a velvet rope, separating the picture snapping paparazzi from the Central Ball. "Woah, what a turn out." Speedy awed.

"People get excited over all these balls." Aqualad whispered. The team made their way to the entrance when the paparazzi asked for some pictures, "Is that Speedy?! He's so dreamy." One girl gushed.

"OMG, it's BumbleBee. I love your hair." One girl screamed. "Mas n Menos, are so fast. Take me to Mexico!" Someone screamed. "Aqualad, let me take you back to my trailer and we can...talk!" Some weirdo guy screamed, earning weird looks from them.

They finally made it into ball and were stunned by its beauty. The ball room was massive and extremely spacious. A swan sculpture was displayed in each corner or the room. A snack table was displayed, when they say snack, they mean full course all you can eat buffet.

They spotted some of the other titans and made their way over to them,"Hey guys." Speedy greeted. Robin and Wally made their way over to him and gave him a brotherly handshake.

"Speedster, how are you? Long time no see bro." Wally greeted. Speedy shrugged, "I've been around." Robin scoffed and rolled his eyes,"Anyways, you got a date?" He asked.

"I've got Jinx." He said pointing to a girl in a spaghetti strap floor length dress and a black cat mask over her face. "I've got Starfire." Robin smiled, pointing to the girl in a red strapless round breast floor length dress.

"I've got... No one." Speedy admitted shamefully. Robin and Wally looked at the red head before staring an each other then jerking their heads back to Speedy. "I think we might have heard you incorrectly. I thought I heard you say you had no date." Wally chuckled.

Speedy gritted his teeth with a red face,"I don't have a date." He repeated. The two boys burst out laughing, deepening his blush. "Shut up!" Speedy growled.

The two boys controlled their laughter, "Sorry man. I'm sure you'll find you dream girl one day." Robin reassured, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. Speedy smiled,"Thanks man." 

"Anyways, we've got to get back to our dates. See you later man." Wally said, he and Robin walking back to their dates. Speedy sat on a chair and surveyed the area.

"Aw man, even Beastboy has a date." He grumbled, as he stared at Beastboy who was dancing with a blushing Raven. "Aqualad to?" He gawked, as he stared at his teammate dancing with a girl with blonde hair and deep blue eyes(Can you guess who she is?:D)

Speedy slouched in his seat and grumbled silently. He felt someone tap his shoulder and turned to girl with white cat mask. She wore a dark green spaghetti strap, low back floor length dress. He couldn't see her face but her long silky black hair.

"Would you like to dance?" She asked. Speedy immediately accepted, not wanting to be miserable any longer. The two danced and talked together, laughing as they exchange stories about their crazy lives.

"You remind me of someone." Speedy admitted after a while of laughter. "Really? Who?" She asked.

"No offence, but you remind me of this villain named Cheshire. You laugh like her, talk like her and walk like her. She's really something." He admitted.

"Really? What intrigues you about her?" She asked. "I don't want to bore you." Speedy said,"No, I'm really interested in hearing this." She persuaded. He then listed everything he liked about her how he dreamed that she would turn good.

After his speech,"You sound like you love this Cheshire girl. "She said. " I really do but I'm sure she doesn't like me." Speedy said.

The girl pressed her lips against his and pulled back, and looked at his flustered face,"She actually loves you. "She said puling away from him and walking away," Later Red." She said.

Realisation hit the arrowed boy straight across the face. He was dancing with his dream girl and arch nemesis, "Uh, I didn't catch your name!" He screamed. "Look in you pocket!" She screamed before walking out the ball.

Speedy dug into his pocket frantically and pulled out a card that made him blush,

My name is Jade. And I love you too Red.
