All while the captain smiled, Abuto managed the business with the Hattori man. He left shortly after, leaving the head behind.

"What are we going to do with this now? Who's picking it up?" Momo asked Abuto, who just looked at her... "I'm not doing it."

She ended up doing it.

After the little chat between 'heinous criminal' and 'policeman-san' they retreated back to their intact ship and fled.

She handed the head off somewhere along the way as she went with her captain to wait for the ship to fall, to then search for the samurai.

"He might not have survived, but considering he survived more than a minute in battle with you Captain, he might have already escaped." Momo said as they walked towards the debris; he had other men with him who were doing all the searching while they sat back and watched, perks of being a captain she supposed.

"He's still human though." He replied sourly, hand on chin with a miniscule pout; he was looking forward to battling the guy again.

"Well, when we set off for Iga with Samurai-san I'll bet you will get to fight there." She spoke in an attempt to cheer him up from losing his prey. She sat on a bent piece of metal protruding from the ground while he sat on the earth watching his men haul large metal panels out of the way and looked in -still standing structures, but they couldn't find anyone that remotely resembled the policeman, only bodies of shinobi and retainers. "He may have fell after escaping hm?" She muttered, slightly downcast.

"Well so long as you don't die, I can fight whenever I want." He proposed, she was unsure of whether to take that as a compliment or not but she supposed she should get stronger so not as to disappoint.

"I'll take that positively; but you should take it easy for right now, you are injured." She shot back, gesturing to the bandages, he scowled but pouted simultaneously.

"It's because the ship was a piece of junk, exploding all the time." He moaned, as though it wasn't his fault the ship exploded. She sighed, just letting her mind wander to the darkening sky.

She was relieved he didn't start tugging and removing the bandages, which would be stupid anyway since he wears them so often for no reason, because she was the one who applied all the medical care on him; since no one else knew the first thing about medicine and had no medical knowledge. She wondered how so many men were still alive without a doctor. Kamui had just said her uses continued growing, which she asked to punch him because of; he said no.

He sighed when they still came up with nothing, he'd even personally searched a bit before sitting back with Momo. "I'd say he escaped captain." He gave her bothered look to which she smiled briefly, "Kamui."

"You must stop calling me that Momo." He said with his smile which looked less creepy and more cute to her now; she looked away and at the glimpse of a moon peeking from the horizon between the trees.

"My apologies, but it's rather hard to get used to." She breathed, her eyes narrowed tiredly, "Besides, there are times when I shouldn't let my emotions take over the superior-subordinate relationship we hold."

He looked at her incredulously, "What boss-lackey relationship? The only relationship here is-"

"I'm aware of it..." She interrupted, sporting a red face like he'd suspected she would, "It's just that sometimes I should know my place and let the captain do as he pleases, undeterred by my own feelings for him." She finished, stuttering only slightly but he caught onto it.

"I never would've grouped you to be the kinda person to be all mushy and nervous when it came to romance." He replied simply, no fear. She expected him to hesitate at least sometimes, but he never did, which slightly peeved her.

"I'm not in my head, but my voice and mouth make it hard for me when speaking about it." She argued, distressed. She just then noticed the absence of all of the scraggy men, maybe gone to sleep? But when did he order them to?

"Vocal? Then what about physical?" He teased, suddenly his cute smile appeared really irritatingly smug.

She deadpanned and with an equally smug voice replied, "I don't recall ever blushing over physical contact with you." He smirked and stood up, she did the same and turned away with a complacent smile, "I'm tired, I'll be resting over there." She began to walk towards a tree trunk and was about to sit down in front when something, he, grabbed her waist, spun her around and with some magical special movements that cannot be described in simple words because I'm an amateur, he sat down with her between his legs.

"Goodnight then." Were his last words before he, more than likely, faked sleep. She resisted at first but when seeing he wasn't going to reply or move she just settled down and slept herself.

He wasn't sleeping at all, until she fell asleep, he was just watching her.

He woke up earlier than her and began his futile search once more, he was just about to contact Abuto when Momo woke up. "Are you still searching?" She asked, walking over to him and looking at the device he held.

He hummed, "I think they're all dead though."

She 'ah'ed' quietly and watched as his connection reached and three to four men could be seen sitting or standing around what she guessed to be a monitor showing their faces; she didn't have her umbrella up but he did and it seemed to shelter them both as Kamui began to ask for Abuto, she was absentmindedly looking around at the fruitless attempts of the few men around her before paying attention to the screen once more,

"-You wouldn't believe how smooth it went, didn't even have to wipe." She heard a frantic Abuto say, she didn't really know the circumstances but she didn't want to know that information in general, in spite of any reason.

"That's nice Abuto." She inputted with a sour face, her captain continued to smile, somewhat menacingly, into the screen as he asked innocently where Abuto was while he was sinking and searching around ships.

Although Abuto denied everything, Momo had a feeling he was actually doing everything the captain had listed. He asked Abuto where he was and that they'd come meet up with him before he began punching the screen to get there.

Momo looked astonished, "You can do that?" She muttered, echoing Abuto's own words, before joining in punching the monitor; "You too!?". Unfortunately, they didn't manage to reach as the feed was cut off. While her captain huffed, she frowned; she was really interested in the travel between machines.

He began walking away, the men following after him. She took one more look over at the smashed screen of the machine before catching up and walking beside him.

Maybe next time.
